Ill start at the very beginning, this is my first proper thread so please if I don't quite set it out right or anything get to offensive or anything.

There's a girl that's a HB8 and I was friends with her before I found the PUA community. I used the typical thing of acting like I'm more popular and sort of higher up on the social ladder than I actually am and I think I've done this and it's put her off.

I was wondering if any of you guys think this is possible or whether I've just completely messed up or done something wrong or maybe even pushed it to much.

There can be a point where you come across as over confident and snobby. Like your rubbing it in everyones face that your better than them and above them in every single way. You may have come across that way toward her and its put her off. She may think that you are making it all up just to make yourself look better as well? Is there anyway she could have found out that your bigging yourself up?

it's not that i've been pushing it too much or come across as fake because she does believe it but from all the signals she's someone who won't go for people who are high up the social ladder so to speak.

Then act as if your not bothered by your status. Don't ephisize (sp) it. Chat to her normally as you usually would without expressing how high up that social ladder you are. Unless she asks and wants to know how amazing you are...

Yeah, I wouldn't even think about 'where you are in the social ladder'. It doesn't mean anything. Let other people think about that and just do you're thing. It's better to be friends with everyone. I doubt a girl wouldn't be interested in someone because they have cool friends anyway.

Some might be. Be if they were, what's the point of hitting on them? They'd be shallow as f*ck.
