Default Drinking & night game - 08-08-2010, 04:59 PM

Whats you guys opinion on drinking alcohol on a night out?

My personal experience is after 2 or 3 drinks, sets are easier to open confidence is flying and feel good factor sets in.

Problem is many drinks later my game starts a downward spiral, in an ideal world i would switch to soft drinks but easier said than done.

I'm thinking about going alcohol free in order to improve my game and just wondering what you guys think.

Default Gaming has helped/made me quit drinking... - 09-08-2010, 12:07 AM

... and I couldn't be happier!

Pros:

- I'm probably saving £400-£500 per month.
- I'm going to the gym (that's £100 per month) every day (with the money I'm saving).
- I can go anywhere, any time (as I can drive).
- I now have the ability to go to any event (weddings, partys, funerals :¬S) and have as much (if not more) fun then I ever did.
- I'm becomming even more healthy (I must be walking miles each day with the amount of time I'm spending in field).
- In general gaming has just made me and my life awesomer (shame it hasn't improved my grammar!) as I can now (given I give any AA a good shoeing - it's becoming weaker by the day!) approach 10s and have awesome conversations with them (number closing, dates and instant dates are all beginning to happen (hooray - about time!)).

... Negatives:

- I need a new pair of shoes - I've used me new pair doing so much gaming that I've managed to actually tear them in two! (good thing I'm saving money!).

.... ah you can't win em all!

... How it happened:

- It's thanks to everyone I've met so far and expecially my awesome wings (who are absolutelly fantastic friends) who don't drink and put me on the right path. Without them and this site I'd still be boosting sales of Tesco's finest tissues (ah hell I still buy a box or two now and again...).

Holy Sh1t I love this stuff - it's what I was meant to do! :¬D Yeeehaaaa!

I would also say, that my 2 wings I have, are both legends in their own right, and without them I would also be buggered too..

power to the wings

We all have moments when we think too much about the whole thing, but just thinking about stuff alone is only one problem, adding alcohol turns it into 2 problems. Being pissed and thinking too much rarely results in acts of genius.

I drink when I go out and can pull, but for the reason I have just listed I can see why staying sober can be a great advantage and make things easier.

The downside of course is through sober eyes you can truly see how annoying pissed people can be, but you cant have it all your own way.

I usually end up getting absolutley spannered when i go out.

Id love to write a field report of Saturdays antics but i cant remember a fucking thing so i cant. All i can remember is playing a game with 4 girls where we passed an ice cube around with our mouths, which was pretty awesome.

When im out im out for fun first and foremost and for me alcohol helps me have a great time. Sometimes il drink a lot and sometimes i wont.

Does alcohol affect 'my game'? I think so, i know sometimes i can be more of a cock when i drink and have said some really rude shit to people which isnt cool.

Do I care? No, i fully understand whats going to happen to me when i drink and fully accept it.

I think the main thing with alcohol and game is to understand and accept what its effects will have on you. Once you do and can or cant live with what effects it has you can decide wether its best for you to drink or not.
