My last 2-set:
I go up to them, stop them with a hand gesture while saying "I am sorry, I have to shortly interrupt you." My target looks at me, I immediately say: "Yes, you". Pause. "I find you very attractive". Both smile and it hit my target the way it should. She: "Thank you". Me: "Hi, I am Otis". She: "Target, hi". Me:

"You are so...I don't know...surprised, stressed..."
She: "Stressed, because I have to go"
Me: "Stressed, that's a pity" saying in a cocky tone
She: " to the gym."
Me: looking up and down at her "I would have never guessed it".
Me: "Listen, I'd like to continue this with you" I see her look at her friend "I am convinced, your friend likes me too".
She: "Umm, I don't think she does....but I am taken, I am sorry."
Me: "Oh, that's a pity, have fun" and I leave, looking for another target.

Now that was winging it unsuccessfully in the outcome.

I wonder how I can follow up better and what I could have done differently in this very interaction.

PS: I happened to see them later, my target looked at me with disgust.

You "looked up and down" her, following up with what I'm guessing was supposed to be sarcasm. But you don't know her, how's she supposed to get your sarcasm after you having said literally a few words to her? Looks like that backfired big time.

You "assumed" the friend "liked you too" which was overwhelmingly arrogant. What made you think the first girl liked you, never mind the second?

There's nothing you could have followed up with here. It was a car crash.

What you could have done differently is be nicer.

I know Dan in this for quite a number of years. He's no beginner. And he's right about you doing dumb shit. Like you somehow think saying "I'm not a beginner you imbecile" is proof that he is a beginner. Good luck with that.

It's always the same with you double nicknames that point to the same ip address. So yeah, of course you know dan. That's what a split personality is characterized by.
