Usually girls will just put in their own statuses on how angry they are at you lol. Posting publicly on your walls trying to out you for being a player or w/e shows a severe lack of class, pride and respect for themselves.

I like facebook. Its sometimes reiginited some old links or got girls more interested. Its really annoying and superficial though.

It's a double edged sword as you point out. If you are going to let your image affect you so much that you rely on Facebook to create some type of alter ego 'cool' image, then be prepared to be affected by the bad and the mundane.

On the other hand if you decide you just don't care, then it's win win (and you needn't worry about detagging embarassing photos.

Its not creating an "alter ego 'cool' image". Its just a display of how your life is and who you are IMO.

I personally don't really post my current activities or detag pictures. Random adds from hot girls on FB is so cool as well. Its as if they turn into guys online lol.

You're dressing up your status in order to bolster your ego. Like I said, be prepared to nurse your status constantly if you want to go down this avenue. Personally I don't think it's worth the effort. I'd rather go out, meet a girl and let her get to know me slowly through conversation and photos on my phone. The excitment of revealing yourself to a girl slowly but surely shouldnt be underestimated.

nova, i agree. i think facebook has its uses but it shouldnt be used to show a false presentation of your life. use it to display your life, not to deceive.

I'd see using Facebook in that way as a chore. Like it was said previously. You would be creating an alter ego. You might have your reg mates posting on your wall saying "Uhhh, what the fuck...You are never like that?" or "Dude, you wearnt out all night last night, you came hope just gone 12 and then flamed some American kids on COD.."

I am not a facebook fan I have it but just don't get why people would post such banal crap such as: "omg i just woke up" "Im going to have mc donalds for tea" "just done an almighty shit" etc.
