I think problem with Pickup is we stretch past our own boundries and push ourselves (Which is a good thing) However we forget what normal is like.

I mean end of the day cold approach is not the norm, particularly in daygame scenarios. Most people meet through social circles or online. So if that were the case, 1-2 weeks after meeting wouldn't be a big deal. Particularly from meeting online like places like Tinder or POF it wouldn't be a big deal if it's even more.

Alex formerly from RSD had a good theory about this in regards to stating that it takes about 2 weeks for a women to register her you as part of your life. So not even asking for the date after 2 weeks and just keeping the conversation going can also be an effective strategy. It also makes it seem like you are qualifying her that way and want to make sure it's worth your time. Trick is to have a multitude of those going (5 or 6) that you naturally are not needy and not thinking about that one person not meeting up for the date. And then they just naturally close in the funnel.

What I'd say add is to bear in mind that numbers aren't shit. Girls will give their numbers out pretty easily, sometimes just to be polite, so if they aren't particularly into you and you haven't really taken the time to properly hang out with them them want be stoked to hang out. If you get numbers from brief interactions on nights out they often won't even remember you.

This is where the whole PUA ideas of a number being a 'close' or having a 'funnel' falls apart. It implies you should be having tons of short interactions just to pick up numbers. As if the ideal is to do 20 5 minute interactions instead of one or two ones for a much longer time. Remember, regardless of how you do it, your actual goal here is to spend time with girls, so dont defer by just grabbing her number and leaving. Stick with it, try to hang out with them. A girl won't remember some random dude who spoke to her in a bar for 5 mins, but she'll remember someone she hung out with all night.
