Default This girl working in same office... - 02-11-2015, 07:51 PM

You know the story before I even write it... You've been there probably 100s of times before.

I write this because I need your guidance please fellow PUA's. Im a bit of a noob at this.

So she works about 5 or so desks down. Different department. I started a month ago. I don't know her name or what she does. She is nice, kinda cute, wears glasses (im into that), I caught her checking me out im sure she is interested.

How the hell am I supposed to approach this without:

1. Looking creepy
2. Making an awkward situation (immediately)
3. Creating permanent awkwardness with someone I have to be near every day

I don't know if she is even single so I guess thats the first thing to find out, but I don't want to be asking about after her. I want to do it all on my own so I can learn and if not succeed, reapply the approach / technique in other similar situations.

Thanks guys

Just be natural; yourself.

No point in forcing some line out that you think will be the ultimate line to get the girl... it's about you, not some line.

You're thinking 10 steps forward. Take a giant leap backwards and talk to her like any other human being. "Hi, saw you around the workplace and I don't think we've met. I'm new here. My name's ______, what's yours?".

Simple.

Last time near christmas I said to a work colleague I didn't know "hey, so I'm doing my christmas cards early and I'm looking for a name for your card". Same day she's giving me a ride home and we're talking in the car about a load of stuff and having a laugh.

Are you a very sociable person? Do you talk to other colleagues in your vicinity?

I make it an aim to go out of my way, introduce myself and know all of the employees who work around me. Maybe you should do the same if you haven't already.

Yes I'm quite sociable I can talk confidently etc I'm a project manager so communication is a big part of my job.

Should I shake her hand?

I'm sure she is interested from her body language and behaviour around me etc

Only shake hands with females you are working with professionally.

Anyone else - hug & a kiss on the cheek.

We work in the same building for the same company so it might be a bit weird if I kiss her on the cheek after introducing myself for the first time

Of course, hence the title of the thread.......

You might get away with that in America, but that's not something personally i'd do at work. Others may differ.
