Energy Sapping Job - Maintaining sociability -

I'm coming to the end of a backpacking trip around Asia and have reached a level of groundedness and confidence that is really helping my game, I still get apprehensive and am hardly a player but am taking much more action.
The problem is my engineering job is very PC screen heavy with lowish interaction leaving me slightly drained and not that sociable by the weekend. I wondered if there are any good tips for boosting my current outgoingness during the week. I'll normally go out with friends at the weekend and just gym or something week nights...

in a audio book I have called "the Will Power Instinct" by kelly McGonigal Ph.D says research has found exercising will help. Also mind fullness training.
 But one thing you should also look into is how you are sitting.  As strange as it sounds your fatigue can be caused by poor body positioning while sitting. Which is common for keyboard jockeys.  The best resource to look into is the alexander technique.

Funny I've been having this conversation with friends all week. Who are in engineering / finances jobs. And thinking if their jobs were more interactive they would be gaming more.
All I have to say there always something with something. So you just gotta go out there with discipline and force yourself to get into state. Grass is always greener on the other side. Game is hard, takes discipline and there aren't many short cuts for hard work but it's rewarding in the end. Currently I'm in sales and been working in that field for many many years. But previously came from a programming background. So I know both sides of the spectrum. All I can say working in sales you are constantly around people. And it takes energy out of you always dealing with people. Coming home at the end of the day I actually don't want to talk to anybody at all or use my voice. So essentially sitting in front of a computer is relaxing. So just gotta be Nike and "just do it". And you get better at getting yourself into a social mood even when you're not feeling it at first.
