I run a quite trendy bar restaurant in the UK. I come into contact with women who tick so many boxes each day, and I wonder how I can approach them and build repour enough to get their number/ demonstrate my interest without being a sleaze and somewhere girls avoid going as they 'may get hit on' by the owner...
Also in the eve at weekends when I'm off duty I often chat to girls for say 10 mins, get a number but I get no replies to texts. Any feedback? And sorry one more, would you be making a compliment on their looks in front of their friends they are sat down with?

Ha, well I'm no expert - so my opinion only. You shouldn't really hit on your visitors! I used to help running a bar too, and it doesn't work. I think the best way for you is to invite girls from OUTSIDE of your bar, INTO your bar.. then it's fair game! so you chat up some girl in another bar, or on the street, then you tell her.. hey - I run a bar nearby - want to have your opinion on our new dish or cocktail or something.. drop by tomorrow.. then she comes, by herself, hopefully, or may be with friends, but she comes to see you! And then you offer her something "on the house".. and you can hit on her all you like! :P well that's my opinion

If you can chat up girls in other environments, what makes this one different. Yes you're the big boss, but surely that's more a positive than a negative.

If you can't chat up girls, then I'd recommend not doing it at your pub. You could potentially lose customers.
