Looking into the mirror.

Amazing how many people do this continually, for validation, for that nugget of gold 'I look good' which enables them to feel good.

I do it sometimes, but I think its a bit of a trap - it shouldn't matter how I look - I should behave how I want to in any case.

We all have physical hang-ups. So seeing that in the mirror, not 'looking good' traps you into briefly not 'feeling good'.

Looks aren't very important. But how you respond to your looks is.

But this behaviour is so massively ingrained its hard to snap out of it.

In fact I remember going out with some of the manchester boys - Me, Sapmi, Retro, Kowalski, all looking (briefly, mind) in the mirror before going out.

I think I need to snap out of it.

Its clearly not important to be attractive, but it is important to at least be well presented.

Perhaps looking in the mirror is as much checking that you are you best self, as it is admiring what you see looking back at you.

Although, admittedly, I do often look in the mirror and think 'Fuck me I've got nice eyes...'
