so I'm sat at work idly swiping my way through tinder on my lunch break, and up pops a girl who lived on the same road as me growing up and I spent a large part of my childhood hanging out with her and her sister, not seen her in fifteen years at least, but she added me on FB a few years ago, we had, I think, one brief conversation.....
anyway, she's become, for want of a better word, stunning! I click like, and instantly get a match notification

so first of all, as I already know her on some level, do I play this the same as any other match (FYI, never had any measurable success off of tinder, I know I'm doing something wrong, just don't know what. I personally think my photos are horrendous, but they're the best I have! ), or do I assume some baseline of rapport/comfort and go straight for a meet up/attraction building?

second *puts AFC hat on*, is this possibly just a 'charitable yes', as in matching me to do me a 'favour'/ego boost (yes I realise this is a total chode-like, ass hat question, and that none of you likely have any insight beyond what I have written above, more just asking whether any of you think that's something someone would do :P )

well, got chatting a bit (what we've been up to, how's the family type small talk), I think I can assume the comfort is there as we're chatting quite openly, and much faster than I'm used to off tinder

thanks for the response K, think I pretty much knew that for myself, but have been having a bad few weeks and the self doubt is creeping back in and double checking myself :/ she's gone quiet on me for the last 15 mins, and I'm already back in my own head thinking "what did I say wrong".....pffft...how pathetic! I'm not too hung up on the outcome, but even with ignoring the 'what', the 'why' is still niggling at me. I always overthink things....

well, looks like she just wanted a catch up and a chat! (chatted for a couple hours, went quiet for a few, then unmatched)
still I had a laugh and got some much needed practice at messaging...on to the next one!
