I'm learning this with my non-
PUA friends at the moment. They suffer from massive AFC tendencies - oneitis with girls who won't give them the time of day, and complete and utter approach anxiety.
Yet they mock me because I've said it is a major goal of mine this year to talk to lots and lots more women on nights out, and they enjoy it when I fail (great mates huh!).
But the more I think about it, the more I realise that they dislike what I'm doing because it is challenging their realities, it is challenging their worlds. They are shit with women, but its ok for them to be shit with women, because everyone else in our house is shit with women. Other people's failure validates their failure.
However, me trying new things threatens that cosy little bubble. If I can figure out how to approach girls, attract them and seduce them, that will expose my mates' shortcomings.
And worse - it'd prompt them to have to do something about it. Which means stepping out of their comfort zones. Which is something pampered middle class kids hate doing (I know, because I am one!).
So actually, its not surprising that they are so keen to mock my adventure into the world of
PUA.
Thank God I've got you guys!
