i won't do the note since it is from the wrong mindset. if it works it will be a big fluke- and what would i do for the next girl? eventually i would have to talk, haha. thank you for all your encouragement.
today i have some time, so i am hoping to allocate 3-4 hours of the daytime mainly to approach girls. (or just to say hi to them, never mind approaching them!) i will read the sticky posts, and try to think of how to do it from the books, and i might buy 'rules of the game' today. i'll also check out meetup dot com, i never used it before. thanks for everything!

Definitly don't do the note, it's ok to do if your 13 years old but not if your any older. As Stein says if a note works, a face to face interaction will work also.

Meetup is nothing about hiding behind a computer, every interaction I've had on there has been face to face, and I've met up with everybody I can. A large proportion of my social circles and some of my best friends up here I've met from meetup.com, hell I'm actually living with two of them at the moment!

Nobody here is wanking there ego (except maybe you, I can't speak for all of us), and nobody is bitching about a note, were saying that its very unlikely to succeed (note that some have stated that its possible). You are the only one advising him to try it, why is that exactly Sha?

And yes, a lot of people here learned scripts, or got drunk, but don't you think that's the exact point of asking for advice? Nobody asks advice of a novice, and how do you grow from becoming a novice? You make the mistakes yourself first, and you learn from them. So yes a lot of us have done that shit early out and were giving advice based on our current knowledge, would you rather us advise him to intentionally fuck up? And if memory serves every time I've seen you out you've had quite a skinful so you're at no position to judge for approaching when wasted.

Getting back to the OP's questions. The 'note' is a bad idea all round. Apart from being little more than a sticking plaster it could go wrong and make things worse. The low self-esteem / depression issues described in the OP's introduction post would be better addressed by some CBT counselling. Go see you GP Spagbol and ask for CBT. It's free on the NHS and it will help you. Then you can build from there.
