I'd say straight away that you need your profile to be funnier.


When I used to do online stuff my profile had absolutely nothing to do with me. I decided to try a psychological approach and it worked well. Much better than my first attempt at a profile.

Thank god, I was starting to think girls did not reply because of my face jokes apart, thank you very much for your advise! It has been very useful. I am going to try it on straight away.

Interestingly I was chatting to a girl about dating sites recently. She has been going on them and says it's more about the pic, how you come across etc, especially when you consider how many guys they have to navigate through (hundreds each day). They probably won't even bother reading what you wrote if they don't rate what they're looking at. I'd also imagine, no matter what confident/exciting sounding things you write, if your picture isn't matching the sales pitch, she'll prob think twice.

POF is definitely like this from both my experience and speaking to female friends who've done online dating. They say if they don't like the pic they will rarely bother to read what's written underneath - and they aren't materialistic woman who only go for looks either.

I guess its just the fact the picture is there and its the main attraction. With online dating you don't give a chance to let someone get to know you or feel your vibe in person.
