Was watching a DeAngelo seminar a while ago, and it led me to watch this video:
Barry Scwartz on the paradox of choice.
It discusses how choice is a good thing, but too much is a bad thing. "More is less". Very interesting and very well presented.
I took away quite a few good ideas and ways of looking at life, to generally be happier avoid dissapointment.
Then I watched:
Dan Gilbert asks, Why are we happy?.
"We synthesise happieness, but we think happieness is something to be found."
And
here's another video on happiness.
The reason I post these here is not just that they're interesting, but I took away quite a few "nuggets of gold", so to speak, from them and I think you lot might too.
The problem with our pursuit for happieness is our incredible ability to end up un-happy despite our efforts. Understanding what "happiness" is is key.
