ok quick summary


in the quest of opening up options, i tried POF and got chatting with a girl, hit it off, and with minimum effort got a #close, then foned str8 away got into a good fun convo... got 1st date close, sorted.

anyways, she gives me her surname (for facebook) and i find out shes completely NOT what i expected.

now i dont mean to be harsh and judgemental but....

Facially: Outstanding, very pretty indeed but...
Body: Very Overweight (not indicated at all by her headshots; cheeks, shin neck all showed no signals of this)

Now dont get me wrong, i like a little meat on the bone, infact she has incredible baps! however, she is simply too big, and im afraid it causes me to lose attraction!

I arranged to see her monday night! So i got less than 3 days to try and get a good exit strategy...

i really think its cruel-to-be-kind in this case as she wants more than i do tbh, and ive just lost interest! Sorry again for being shallow, but every man has his likes and dislikes!


what would you reccommend i say (sooner rather than later; hate last-minute letdowns) so that i can stop the date form happening, without merely postponing it, but at the sametime, avoid hurting her feelings!!???

This really is why I steer clear of dating sites. The second ever online date I went on was a disaster as her carefully chosen photos did not tell the whole story. In real life her arms were as fat as my legs. This is not something I find attractive so I only went on that one date and ended it there.

Like K says, this won't happen in real life as you can see if you find her attractive or not just by looking. You needn't wonder if her image is a mirage of something you might like.

Oh picard what have you done lol. Mate just let her down gently tell her you have a gf and tell her your making a mistake or something like that she should respect you because she'll think your telling the truth.

Yes fair one it was just an option, i use that before and they ask why i wanted the date and i said its because im not happy but i cant cheat on her and she understood fine.

Personally, I'd just find an excuse out of meeting her on Monday.

No i dont agree with that because ul have her wasting her time trying to get hold of you and she will continue you this for a while its best coming up with something and letting her down gentley.

I can imagine everyone has had this. CovertOperation is another example of another man stung by a dressed up profile picture. She'll prob be used to men fobbing her off with crap excuses as a result. Be upfront with her and call her out on what she has done. She is hiding away from reality (but then I guess that's half the point of dating sites).

The truth might benefit her as she might get guys hitting on her who like a bit of meat on a girl, rather than those who are hopeful she is a stunner.

I guess there is something to be said for being cruel to be kind - it might do her some good to be told it as it is. Especially if she's meeting guys for dates and then being blown off by them afterwards.
