Default Silence! - 16-02-2009, 09:53 AM

Hello,

After my day agme post about yesterday I rememberd some parts where I was standing talkng to the girl and then after I finish my DHV story there was this bloody awful silence... Couldn't think of anything to put break it other than asking some lame question like "So what do you think about... blah"

I figured that might be the ideal spot for a magic piece but I was totally unprepared yesterday and didnt take any material with me...

Any thoughts on this?

Cheers

Its happend to all us.

What I do is just come up with witty playfull things during the week I'd like to say, jot them down so then when i'm out I know what to say either more stories or sound bytes. Keep cailibrating and eventually when your out in the field you'll just naturally know what to do and say next.

Good luck

Thanks guys definately some food for thought.

Kowalski, looking at your post I think thats spot on, the bit I sturggled with was that because she was from Japan originally and only been in the UK a year, where I was talking about stuff I'd done alot of it she probably couldn't realate to because of it being Western Society. Maybe then I should rework some of my DHV stories for some generic conversation topics.

The most horrible bit about it was standing there and in my head going "f*** silence, must say something, anything" and then coming out with something crap and thinking oh dear thats the best I could do. I'll sit and go to the drawing board and rework some topics.

Cheers
