As I mentioned in my introductory post I've moved to a new town and don't have a large network of friends yet and although the people at my work are good folks, they're not really the type for hitting the clubs on a Saturday night.

I guess I could always just head out on my own but the last time I did that I got speaking to a girl and as soon as I mentioned that I was out alone you could practically see my perceived value plummet in her eyes. A lot of the canned lines seem to also involve mentioning being out with friends "Quick question before I get back to my friends" and such.

Is it possible to sarge alone or do you absolutely need at least one wingman?

It's not a great 'look' to be honest - obviously anythings possible but not recommended. Where you based?

The only problem I've found going solo is I can end up in my head too much. If you can avoid that, by talking to people all the time, it can be really good. In the "my friends are over there.." lines you could just vaguely point over to a crowded part of the club. No problem unless she want you to take her over and introduce her. And if she wanted that your definitely in anyway.

Solo sarging is weird if you have friends to go out with. And I was the worst for it, I used to try it a lot.

If you don't then yeah go out alone, try this; don't say you're with anyone or not with anyone. If they ask, change the conversation.

Do your best to find wingmen though, even the biggest loser is better than no one at the beginning.

Why the fuck not. It'll push your comfort boundaries. This is positive.

Midnight - if you're DAYgaming, solo work is arguably better than having any wingmen around. What are the women in Wakefield like? Any dirty slappers - I fucking love em lol.

Same as everywhere I've been really, some gorgeous, some brutal, and more in-between. Like most places in Northern England there's always some dirtys to be seen outside the clubs staggering around in their best outfits, pissed out of their skull, god bless em'.

I think quite a few AFCs/PUAs start out solo sarging. There's no reason why you shouldn't go at it alone. If you get in your head that you need to find a ''wingman'' but one never comes along, you'll get it in your head that your alone doing it and you'll go out and sarge.

When you start out nearly everybody needs a wingman to get into it but after a while you can go at it alone. By all means do it straight away but it's hard and can be a boring and negative introduction to the game.
