Just to follow on from Kowalski’s quote yesterday

This ties nicely into some quiet reflection I have had in the past couple of weeks, about how I and others around me treat game, and how they view the rest of the world in relation to game.
I have been seeing a girl on and off for the past few months, and more recently have been seeing a lot more of her. She is my favourite by far, so has made me seriously reconsider what I am doing with my life from here with regards to girls, and in general.
Reflecting I have allowed game to take too much of a front seat in my life (I’ve said this before I know). Looking back this has been good for me developing my confidence with girls, as I have literally hammered it the past few months. But now I am considering who I want to be, and seeing game for what it is... an unsustainable illusion.
I now feel a real big urge to paint again and I really want to enter art competitions. Thinking about not gaming fills me with quite a lot of excitement now actually, as I see the opportunities I have to spend time doing other things. I also want to start seeing old friends again. I’ve unfortunately been neglecting them in favour of serial dating. Last weekend I had a big dnb mix with one of my best mates, something I hadn’t done for ages. It was awesome, and my mate loved it.
In reflecting I have started to really see the sad side of what this community produces, i.e. guys who think they are something because they managed to learn a few skills to chat to girls. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome to self-develop and push ourselves. But there has to be a reality check and to work out what is sustainable.
Some of things I now see that irritate me quite a bit include guys:
- posting pictures of girls they number closed
- posting about how amazingly hot every girl they close is
- preaching about how girls’ minds work (because they heard it somewhere)
- posing with fluffy hats and a girl either side of them in their profile pictures
Being embroiled in game, it’s easy to forget the fact that the rest of the world operates as normal and always has done, oblivious to game.
