can u be cocky and funny when u are a good looking guy?

wen ur an average guy or not a very conventionaly good lookin guy and u say somethin cocky or watever like, its cos im beautiful, the girl wud find it funny and it wud def do the job. but if u are good looking and u say that, u come off as arrogant and full of urself.

thing is for a laugh i emailed a model agency with my details, phot etc, and they phoned me back seeing if i was interested. wen i said this to one of my girl mates, (who im looking to get with btw) she was just throwin the usual oh wat a hand model or somethin, to which i replied, if god gave u good looks u might as well use them :P, but she kept sayin the whole night, ur so big headed/full of urself. thing is im one of the most modest humble ppl u will ever meet, but how am i meant to be cocky and funny? wat shud i of said to this?
