what do you guys think of online dating sites it worked for me !

I just joind one a few days ago and I closed tonight with a number and promise of a date next week

I messaged lots of woman strait away so it is a bit of a numbers game but you cant argue with results

Its a good little side project but you need to keep up the bravado in person when you do finally take her out...

I read this article once and its got some good tips, maybe a little heavy and not always appropriate but in the main - a good read.

I don't recommend it, I have a lot more fun and success going out and meeting women.

Personally I wouldn't get bogged down searching for women online. It can sap a lot of your time and bring about false hope, 'false' being the word as it really is the definition of a numbers game. Also how can you really be sure you are attracted to a girl from her best online photo? I find a lot of girls i am attracted to are hotter in the flesh than a single photo. Sexy has many definitions for me and a single image can define it, but falsely.

Like Tom suggests, the real world is more fun. It can be daunting, but that is part of the game. Drifting along behind your computer screen playing things safe is just boring in my opinion. Try different things, there's a multitude of ways to meet girls in the real world day and night, social and work based. The real world really is your oyster sir.

If you have little or no experience in flirting/bantering with women then talking to women online is a good controlled environment in which to experiment. However it's no substitute for actual real-world experience in actually getting outside your house and talking to them face to face.

I personally hate online dating websites, I just see it as a further erosion of society. It dehumanises attraction and courtship into pixels and bytes. The way things are going in 10-20 years time half the married population would have met online! I find that quite sad.

Picture this, you're at a dinner party and you've reached your 50s one of the guests says to you 'So how did you guys meet?' Response being 'Oh,.....ur Match.com' LAME!

Like Kowalski said this has been a contentious issue, that's just my opinion. Some guys really vouch for it, good for them. But my opinion won't be swayed on this.

I agree with what most people have said here.
I had a bad experience with online dating back when I was 18 and started chatting to another sunning 18 year old from Liverpool!
After an age of emailing - texting - phoning, a pervy mate found the pictures that she had supplied me with on an american model website and when she confessed, she turned out to be a 32 yr old married thing with 5 kids! Although that didn't stop me travelling to L'Pool to do the deed!

I thought it would help me to be able to get over being able to talk to the other sex and although i could hold an amazing conversation over the keyboard, it still didn't help me chat to a real physical women when out and about because I still had AA and still had the negative voices when i actually saw them.
So for me it didn't work and i didn't progress, i was still a chode only with a secret online identity.
Now a days i won't even consider online dating.

On the flip side, i have a mate who swears by plentyoffish.com he found his current girlfriend on there and was seeing loads of different girls on it and in a very short space of time but all the ones that he introduced us to all seem to be 5/10's or the good ones had some kind of mental issue, lol!

As long as it's not your only source of meeting women, go for it.

I used to go on there a fair bit after my mate told me he got a same night lay with some tasty chick that lived round the corner from him.
Theres plenty of good looking girls on there but either they're looking for husband/dad material, or they're all talk and no action.
I remember i was talking dirty with this milf on there for a couple of months, and she kept telling me how badly she wanted me to just turn up at her house and fuck her milfy brains out, but when it actually came to meeting up with her (she insisted that we met in a bar) no word of anything even remotely sexual was mentioned, and she just rambled on about shit for the whole evening. Almost seemed like she had put on a front of being this horney, lonely milf gagging for some young blood, just so she could lure me in and talk me into being her next boyfriend.

I think that pretty much sums up the birds available on online dating sites. The quality is not going to be high. Think about it, why do theses girls need to be online? Why are they not attracting guys in the real world? A lot of them are there purely to reinforce their beauty-egos with the 100 msgs a week and 3 e-flowers a day they get from the thousands of chodes who think they've found their ideal girl.

I tried plenty of fish (because I'm a tight Yorkshireman who's not going to pay!).
I found photos to be pretty deceptive and generally girls were after long term relationships, there were also some pretty weird girls too.

Meeting up is weird because there is a pressure already there, it's been built up. What do they look like? Will they be weird? Are they a 40year old? These type of questions will be going through both your heads.
I think it's harder than the real world where they feel more secure because they can just leave, it's more of a surprise, there is no commitment or time to worry, they are just being talked to and flirted with by some guy.
