You make it sound like getting a girlfriend is a means to an end, and your work is done upon finding this dream girl.

Let's think about just what happens in this scenario to the couple in question? They get married, the wife gets fat, both of them get complacent because they've 'made it' in the eyes of society, and they end up pissed off.

Personally I have no intention of looking for a girlfriend, but hey, that's because I've just ejected from a 3 year relationship and want to live a little.

You can just get on with life without the need for either a friends with benefits or a girlfriend. If you feel either of those things have a huge bearing on a fulfilled life then you are in for some disappointment.

Get on with life, work to make it as fulfilling for yourself as possible in terms of career, socialising, attainment and joyful activities and the girls will follow.

It is about enjoying the process. Girls, work, socialising... live in the moment. It shouldn't be viewed as a chore to chat up/game girls. It is a constant learning experience. Embrace it, no matter how painful it can be at times.

I usually go for girls but in this case I could be persuaded to make an exception...
