Just being watching Blueprint again and i've been thinking about this.

Tyler talks about approaching and being authentic and having a strong beliefs/values that are not imposed on you by superficial social conditioning. Now one belief that i am sure men have is "i must get hot women" and to most men hot=attractiveness that has being socially conditioned (if you think that's not the case REALLY think about it.) Now generalising a fair amount here but a lot of women who think they are "socially conditioned hot" will not have developed a good personality. Through life they will have learned they can get through on looks alone. The thing is this when i really think about it, even in a bar with a lot of women who have these socially conditioned good looks and zero personality i'm not REALLY attracted to many of them. On a superficial socially conditioned level i might be but in terms of really pushing my buttons they do nothing for me. With that in mind it would seem logical to conclude that approaching these women will come across as being inauthentic and not part of my reality. Knock on effect is the approach will be inauthentic the real sense of who i am will not be conveyed. The problem is if you only go after the women that are really attractive to you (your 10s not the medias!) then the amount of approaches available in any given night could be next to nothing or at least significantly reduced. I know i am generalising here but i'm sure all of you have meet a lot of girls who are like this.
I suppose the solution is to keep approaching to reduce AE, find the ones who tick all your core beliefs and realise that when the approach isnt successful its more down to it coming over as inauthentic because she was only superficially attractive to you.

Firstly, it's "every hole's a goal....except an own goal!" but you were close enough!

I agree with all of this. However, who you go for depends on what you're looking for.

I, for example, am looking simply to get with (and sleep with) a selection of hot girls. I don't mind saying I've never been with a girl who was above a 7/7.5 so that's something I want to achieve. Therefore, I'm going for the hot girls in the club, and I'm honestly not bothered if they've not got enough personality to fill a thimble.

However, give it a while, until I'm able to get any girl I want, I don't doubt that I'll be looking for, as you say, one of my perfect 10s - a girl with everything. But until then, there's nothing wrong with goosing a few airheads!

Everyone has different opinions on what is their 10s are and just because the girl looks a 10 doesn't mean that their personality will be that high.
What you need to do is decide what you actually want from a girl first, i.e a shag, relationship, friendship and then you then decide what characteristics/personality traits you actually want each to have.
i.e you might want a girl who looks perfect just for a 1 night but that is not just what you want for a relationship.
If you write down exactly what you want in a girl then it will help you be clearer about what you look for and talk about with each girl and then if they don't meet up to your list why would you want to waste your time!

good replies guys. I suppose my point is approaches with these "airhead 10s" that are just used to add notches to the bed post should in theory be more difficult than approaching a woman who really ticks all your core values as it will not be authentic. Making a list sounds like an option but then again this would be creating superficial value e.g I'm going to hit on girls "hotter" than i have had before so i can prove to myself i can achieve it.

How can the number of approaches be reduced if you don't know what their personality is like until you approach? If you are projecting what you think their personality is like before you talk to them then yes it will be reduced but you don't know until you actually talk to them.

I go for student/girl next door types and I go to places where they will most likely be,
I haven't found many girls who are thick and have a high opinion of themselves, maybe it's because of the type of girl I find attractive and Manchester has awesome women and lots of students.

Fair points Tom. Yes this has a lot to do with the places you go to find women. I agree totally its difficult to predict a womans personality but sometimes its possible. e.g look at how they dress, their friends, how they act in social situations.........hell even if i clock them reading a Gracia in a coffeshop wearing some Ugg boots and a Gucci bag there's a fair chance i can work out their personality from that. Remember what Tyler says about peoples personality not being their own? Social Conditioning and the media can give us a good starting point. I think its all about looking for clues to suggest what it might be (i'm not saying its 100% predictable) but it may allow us to make an educated guess. Anyway digressing but still relevant

Its not easy to stay true when your not really that into someone past their looks and women can sense this...

Its even harder if you've got standards that are unreasonable, I used to and it doesnt help...

Like Tom says, find the type that attracts you and focus on them at the risk of writing others off before you really know them, but life's all about risk (and return!!)

I take your point, I don't really approach 'tarty' girls because what they wear and their looks puts me off and I don't find those things attractive.
