I partially agree, but it pays to be wary that the information presented in the article is done so through the filter of journalistic intent. The writer of the article is trying to appeal to a specific audience and will divulge information in a way that is appealing to that audience (probs a predominantly female, 25-40 group). The writer will include things the reader wishes to believe is true and this is likely to be in line with the reader's own projected concept of sexuality and attraction.
My end point is just to not accept the journalistic summary of any scientific studies and to go out and read the damn studies!
