I went on a few more dates this week. One an instant, another a second date, and a first date yesterday. One of the things I had decided to do was to eradicate the unnecessary body contact. Since being back in the game I have been touching girls on the arm, the back, and holding their hand, but not genuinely biting the bullet and grabbing them properly... as a man is expected to do.

This came after a comment Phil made, where he told me off for hugging a girl as it was gay. Not only this but I have been watching the Jeffy Show this week and he talks about cutting out all the bullshit gentle touching, i.e. if you’re gonna do it, do it and mean it.

This made me assess what I have been doing on my dates thus far, and I think I have been pussyfooting around with some of my physical contact and maybe coming across as sneaky and far too cautious, hardly the best impression to give of me being a man. I think it also came across as slightly creepy pickup artist. It’s simple really, you either man up and take some risks or don’t bother.

Hugging girls is not gay

Its only gay when its awkward and then you just say " Wow...that was awkward "

Every new girl I meet I always give them a hug...while one hand presses slightly on their lower back ( nice pressure spot )

and I kiss them on the neck when I hug ( a soft kiss..plus they get to smell your aftershave! )

Saying that..and just to contradict my self for luls.... Do your own thing.. Some people dont need to hug to progress a date, I just feel comfortable doing it

At the risk of sounding like reflex - its the intent that matters.

You can hold hands in both a "were just friends" or an "I wanna shag you" sort of way, its all about intent.

I have held lots of girls hands in lots of situations in a whole range of different ways.

The one that sticks out though, is when you & the girl are sitting side by side, & you & the girls fingers being intertwined whilst holding hands. It almost means yes we are gunna shag.

Its even more effective if you & the girl have been talking, but end up talking to other people whilst still sitting by each other, & you slip your hand in hers, & then you have a hidden connection.
