Starting Out -

So this morning was the first time in months that I actually did some exercise. I am slightly overweight and hope to lose a few stone as the months go by. A fast majority of people always seem to want to run before can walk (no pun intended) when it comes to exercising and always try to throw themselves in the deep end.
Last night I compiled a playlist of upbeat songs to listen to through my workouts. I recently purchased a pedometer as well to keep count of the steps I have taken. I believe I read somewhere that for every 10,000 steps you take that burns 440 calories. After my breakfast had settled I stuck on my trainers and went for a walk/jog (intervals) where I live up/down and over hills. I was outside for about 45 minutes and racked up a fair few steps.
At home my flatmate recently put a punchbag up and he never uses it so I put it to use after my jog and did a workout on that for a further 20 minutes. Once I started to feel a little fatigued, I then did a few circuits of sit ups and then a warm down.
It's a simple routine that I have done this morning but I feel great for doing it.
