Default Snacks - 01-11-2013, 03:04 PM

I know there are better websites for this question and I'm researching that but i was wondering if any of you know of good, healthy snacks that are cheap to make and easy to store/carry? I find I spend so much money on snacking and its always unhealthy, I eat a lot and its mentioned by people constantly, so it takes its toll on my wallet. I don't eat MASSIVE meals necessarily but I out-eat everybody I know over the course of the day unless I consciously control myself.

Wholesome, proper foods would be best for the small meals. Staying away from processed foods, dairy and even grain/starchy foods. Not that I think they're bad but I eat so much of that kinda stuff I want to keep them down to a minimum.

In short:

Cheap, carriable, 'paleo diet' type snacks but doesn't have to be 100% as I'm not on the diet.

Find berries on nearby trees, that's pretty 'paleo'...

buy little carrots and tomatoes mix them up in a bag.

take some kale, ripe it up into resonable sized peices, sprinkle with paprika and bake

Plain yoghurt mixed with cinnamon

I'll try and remember some more and post later

In the mornings at work I eat various nuts and seeds (all unsalted) as they satisfy and are very nutritious.

Favourites include cashews, brazil nuts, almonds and pumpkin seeds, with the later supposedly good for your sex drive.
