Right. Arrived back from Newcastle last night and I have to say it was a success!!

The first night I was wacked, I really wasn't up for making any effort (seems to be a big problem of mine since my last relationship breakdown, if someone represents effort then I just think "f*ck it") but for a period of time I snapped myself out of state. I approached a group of hot looking chinese girls with my happy face on, was quite direct and asked them to follow me to where the fun was. They were following until I was cock blocked by a rather nasty looking chinese guy, he was looking quite aggressive (more with them) but being in Newcastle I thought I'd best back off.

Night 2 was a feather in the cap! I employed some MM, wore a bright pink jumper and me and my new found wing took 2 pink washing up sponges out (more for stupidity then picking up) Anyways got talking to HB8 she asked me to follow her for a smoke = I lost her on route and couldn't find her again.
2nd girl I engaged, got a bit of convo about the jumper going, no more then that
Then out came the sponges, I pretended to throw the sponge across the dancefloor to my mate had his ready and would open his hand to make as if he'd caught it. Then we added variations like making out we caught them in our mouths and stuff. We wern't even thinking of using these as props to pull but the girls loved it and some of the guys found it funny.
3rd girl blocked me at first, I then pretended to ignore her, she came back asked for photo's with me, arms around me etc but I just did not close in when it would have been so easy to.

Next bar czech girl HB7 - engaged in convo about my jumper again, asked her about czech and it's beers. She said our beer was rubbish. I said "well if you know so much then you can pick my next beer and buy it" she agreed. She then followed me half way across Newcastle city centre to a night club only to find it was closed when we got there. I Kiss Closed and shouted a taxi for her.

Night 3 was a no no. We went to a nightclub specifically to listen to swedish house mafia. The place was full of talent, unfortunatley it was also full of extremley chavvy lads who all walked around as if they were carrying widescreen TV's. There was so much aggression in the place that even walking around seemed risky. Engaged with one girl outside in the Fag shelter (she loved the sponge trick as well) she asked my name followed me back in but I lost her in the club .

In summary I think more effort is needed in closing I dont have anxiety once I've engaged but If they make me work for it I just start to think "right, I can't be bothered" and I loose interest.

but the weekend was a learning curve and I could tell my confidence had increased as a result!
