This is written a bit weirdly part report and partly advice and musing to Nova (ash) and Hustler25 (stu)

I meet up with Nova and Hustler outside Font, the queue is huge and we eventually end up in noho after realising that everywhere is packed because it's most people's pay day.
We all open one set nothing special just to get in the swing of things but talking about our improv sessions got one girl really interested.

Then we went to night and day had lots of shots then sat down near a few girls, then an american guy sits next to them a few minutes later and starts ranting away. He may have been a bit of a dick but he did something that we should have done straight away he engaged with them as soon as he sat down, he was loud and very hard to ignore.

Then we left and on the way stu (hustler) used was saying to groups of girls "happy birthday" (awesome work) one turned round and said "it's my birthday how did you know?" She was very flirty with me and I gave her a peck on the lips but I wasn't into her so we went on to the Venue.

We got some drinks and more shots, as I was walking through the crowds I told this girl with massive eyes and nice make up she had awesome eyes, her face went from normal bland expression to a big grin.
I didn't hang around I just complimented her and moved on it was too busy to stand and talk, it made me and her feel good and I could always open her again later.

As I was about to put my coat into the cloakroom a girl runs up to me and says "I just had to come and talk to you I've been watching you and I think you are really nice" This made me feel pretty good after having a random girl in the street being flirty with me too.

I went to put my coat away and who should be there but Dave from improv (not sinstyle the other Dave) so I chat to him for a bit then go and talk to this girl for a bit.
She was quite cute but a little too crazy and drunk for me but I kissed her anyway, then she told me to go and find my friends so I did.

Back with the guys stu spots a cute asian, ash (nova) has a thing for them. We go over and there is a guy jumping about like a lunatic so naturally I join him, stu says he's a bit gay but I say he has lots of woo and lo and behold he starts dancing with the cute asian girl and then bam! He makes out with her.

Don't be disheartened though guys you can learn from this guy, he had lots of energy and fun, but he also had the intent to start dancing with her and then go in with the kiss. Even if he was her boyfriend or had got with her earlier in the night he still got with her at some point and it was because of his fun energy.

Also I think it shows that you should go straight in there, I know it's scary after that we were still milling about being a bit like chodes when we should have been more pro active.

On the dance floor I went up to a cute girl with short blonde curly hair and told her that I loved her hair and touched it, she was pretty pleased by this and I said something about her being the curly opposite of ash (ta mate for getting your hair cut)

We then started talking about the weirdoes that were surrounding her (all this while touching her with intent, very important!).
I think this is another sign to say that women don't like you dancing around them on the dance floor you should approach as fast as possible.

Then she started asking me questions, | thought it was quite weird having a conversation in the middle of a dance floor as it was going well I went in for the kiss and she kissed back, success!
I think this happened because I went in there straight away, I showed intent and touched her early on, also I think pointing out all the chodes around her helped and made her laugh.

She kissed quite weirdly she was sucking on my bottom lip so I said something like "you like my bottom lip don't you?" and she didn't do it as much then haha!

I left her to go and find the guys but I couldn't see them anywhere so I went back to find my curly haired blonde cute girl. At the end of the night I got her number too and we've been texting but she goes to uni down south and lives in the Wirral, why do I always get girls from miles away? Not that it's always a bad thing.

My one regret of the night that I didn't help out the guys more I should have tried to set them up with some of her friends and maybe got her in on it too.
I need a night of improving my winging game rather than concentrating on me, then it will be for the benefit of everyone.

I think stu and ash we need a session where we just approach like crazy, straight away with intent and try and get a fun party state going too.
I think if we at least approach 10 in one night it will help a lot.

Sorry we missed each other at the end of the night, Ash and I went outside to open some sets and then went back into the seated area for abit to open some more, we saw you getting down and dirty with that blonde so we thought we'd just leave you to it.

Was the first time i'd tried 'Happy Birthday!!!' out on the street, quite suprised at how successful it was, didn't work with Asian girls though, they just looked at me as if i'd just grown two heads. Nevertheless was just abit of fun.

All in all was a mediocre night for me personally, although a few weeks/months ago I would have regarded that as a rather more successful night, so to recognise that i've made progress and that I can evaluate and critique my own performance is a good thing.

I think the Asians took a while to translate and by the time they did the moment was lost and also wondered what the hell was going on!

Just keep at it and you're bound to make progress. i liked the way in Noho I said open those girls behind us and you did straight away no questions no hesitations, much respect!

Nice report there Tom. You did the business and had the vibe, especially with that girl who came running over to you. Girls can just smell it! I felt a bit under par for whatever reason and the belief system had worn down slightly as a result. I was feeling pretty dapper on thurs and maybe got a little complacent with my game sat.

Like you say an evening of non-stop approaches would be a good remedy to build up the momentum/energy again. Let's do it! I go through waves with the confidence levels, but each time I dip I sense it's less of a dip than the last one. All experience is progress, however bad or small.

Let's hammer some approaches this week and break our personal records!

We could even do it sober just for even more confidence.
Don't worry about dips I had a massive dip a few weeks ago where I was questioning all this socially awesome stuff then I went out and ended up back a some girls house so keep the faith brother!
