hi guys,

this is my first field report and i would really like to put more effort into the forum and get to know the art better...

a guy from work (basically my direct boss) invited me to go for pizza with him after work. so we went down to the port where the restaurants built nice elevated terrasses/lounges in front of the actual restaurant. we get there and the waitresses are gorgeous! we got a really pretty/cutish french girl as waitress (between 19-22). every time she came to our table, you could see that she was getting more and more nervous, almost distracted (she came to ask if we wanted dessert twice).. so that at the end when we asked for the bill she gave me the glass of rose that she was carrying. i asked her whether that was on the house and she started answering by saying that i had ordered the rose as dessert, but cut herself off in the middle and apologised (it was for somebody else). then my boss left and i wanted to talk to her. i was looking for her and saw her inside at the main 'cash desk' with other waitresses and the manager. first i wanted to leave cause i knew i couldnt get the number when all her colleagues were watching (or at least that close). but then i walked straight up to the manager and asked to reserve a table for 8 in a couple of days time. (when i was talking to him, i saw that she whispered something into the other waitresses ears who then took a glimps at me and nodded... they were talking about me) they then left. after the reservation was done i saw her standing on the terrasse..

i was standing between the restaurant and the elevated terrasse where she was standing. i made a sign that she should come closer, she bent over and i asked for her name and when im gonna see her again. (she said julia, and friday because i had booked the table for that day) i told her that i would like to see her before friday (im leaving this city on saturday). then her boss started to talk to her and i made a sign that i was waiting in front of the door.

there something funny happened.. i was just standing there when a girl passes me (on the way to the bathroom). she turns around and makes a sign to me to follow her. i was like "where are you from?" - sweden.. so we spoke a bit in swedish (i speak very broken swedish) and then i told her to go to the toilet (remember, i was waiting for the other girl) and that i would wait here. an obvious wink with the hand showed that she was pretty pissed off.

then the other girl comes back with a huge smile on her face (she is gorgeous) and i get her number (she couldnt type in her number correctly cause she was so nervous) and looked out for the swedish girl, but she wasnt around. now comes the tricky bit: i couldnt just stand there like an idiot and run the risk that julia would see me go home with that other girl.

i wanted to ask you guys what you would have done differently, in order to take the swedish girl home the same night and meet up with julia the next day? im happy with any comment or remark about the whole evening.
