OK guys, this is my first field report ever. I’ve only been online a few days and posted up my intro yesterday but already I’ve been out with some of you guys after your warm welcome… so here goes!

Jynx (the legend) picked me and my fellow PU learner Hustler25 up in his car and we headed into town to meet Kowalski at his city centre pad. We had a few beers and told each other a few stories then headed out. We then met up with Sapmi and after wandering the streets in the summer air and chatting some more we got to Mojo just off Deansgate. This was quite a loud bar and I felt a little uncomfortable initially as I do struggle hear people talking to me. Anyway after about 10 mins of settling in, Kowalski spotted a set of 5 girls and told me to go over and open them. I don’t tend to use canned lines and usually go in with a situational opener. The snag was I was put completely on the spot so had to dig around in my head for the first line that I knew worked. This was the trusty tattoo opener.

I walked straight over to the girls and ran the opener. I only really managed to engage three of them initially as my voice was not getting through to them over the music, plus my eye contact was poor and only clocked three of them. This quickly turned into one as the other two dispersed after one of them told me her friend had just got a tattoo. I hadn’t engaged the set properly and focused too much attention on the one girl with the tattoo (who I’d rate a HB8). She seemed quite engaged however and I pressed on. Unfortunately I let the loudness beat me and I probably could have got closer to her to hear her better to be frank. The conversation didn’t flow and I had to start three different threads of conversation as I couldn’t hear a damn think she said. This all got too much and I pressed the eject button.

Anyway, after chatting some more with the other guys Jynx grabbed me and we went straight over the the bar where there were two girls buying drinks. He just introduced himself and took it from there, and I started talking to the other girl (HB6). Again I didn’t stay in the set that long and ejected after about 2 minutes. I realised how rusty I was as I was wanting to press eject so readily and wasn’t comfortable chatting to girls like I had been a couple of months back. Anyway as they say, the more you do it the better you get, so I pressed on.

Jynx then got me involved with another set and he chatted to one girl while I chatted to another (HB9), this time I managed to stay a lot longer and managed to come across a lot more laid back. I had decent body language and leaned against the wall and forced her to lean in to talk to me although I kept creeping towards here and then having to reassert my laid back body language. This worked well for a while but I then could feel the conversation slipping into boring territory as we talked about where she was from etc. I had lost the fun element from the initial interaction and her mate stepped in to rescue her.

Me and Sapmi then decided to outside for a fag. Sapmi got straight onto it and opened a two set and talked about one girls nose pearcing and all seemed well at first. Unfortunately her mate was not very receptive, so I tried to get talking to her but she was having none if it so Sapmi’s target got dragged away by her mate.

Anyway, Sapmi pressed on and opened several other sets while I got chatting to a girl (HB8) who was after a role-up from me. I had a good bit of banter with her for about 5 minutes and she left kissing me on the cheek which was nice. I felt I was getting a lot more into the groove at this point and ended up talking to a two set (HB6 & HB7). All three of use were playing with each others hair (those of you who haven’t seen my hair it’s long and curly and pretty big!) and kino started developing nicely between me and the HB7. She kept putting her arm around me and I likewise did the same and stroked her ass which she seemed to enjoy (as London Soul says, if she doesn’t complain forcefully then ‘it’s on’). Sapmi or Jynx (not sure who!) then had her mate (HB6) in conversation and I had my target on her own. She asked me if I had a girlfriend in Manchester and I teased her a bit by not answering but did after dilly dallying. I asked her if she had a boyfriend and she told me she did and the kino seemed to get a little more intimate with hand firmly on her ass by this point. I then told her that her dressed suited the curves of her body and she blushed. This started to look like the perfect opportunity for a kiss close but I somehow held back. In my head I had the perfect excuse that she already had a boyfriend and it was enough to stop me from escalating, as I saw rejection as a big possibility. I do think on a more general note though that this highlights a bigger problem where I can’t escalate to that point as I have only managed it twice since I’ve been into ‘game’. A sticking point that needs dealing with.

Anyway in summary, it was a slow start as it’s been months since I’ve done this properly, but it felt good to be back in the field and doing this with people who know what it’s about. To be honest I only opened a couple of sets as Jynx was there to open the sets for me. Next time I will endeavour get rolling with the openers myself and wing him or the other guys! The more I get myself in these situations the more I can try and push through those boundaries of anxiety that have held me back all this time.

Was great to meet some of the guys for the first time last night. Admittedly I felt WWAAAAYY out of my depth at first but as the night wore on I felt much more comfortable with things (possibly the alcohol). Was pulling and playing with random girls hair which is something I would never had done before hand.

I was by no certain means on top form last night, its been months since i've been out 'gaming'. I learnt alot from the guys last night, and its clear I need to step up my game.

Jynx, your youthful energy and enthusiasm is infectious, you're awesome! Kowalski is one cool cat, I love your mindset and attitude to game/life in general I want to adopt some of that! and Sapmi is a cool muthafucker to, this guy can Skank!!

Was pleasure meeting you guys, i'll be out again soon to hang out, learn and progress with you guys.
