Hi all,

First of all, let me say that I got my copy of the game by Neil Strauss on Wednesday this week, and the book has hardly been put down.
With it at the front of my mind I went out last night with a group of mates (who know nothing about any of this) and met up with another group of people - and within that group there was some I had my eye on, so was looking forward to being able to use a few tips Id picked up from the first 8 or so chapters of the book.

I followed a few rules such as the 3 second rule - I know it doesnt really apply here because I sort of knew the girl from previous interactions, but I hadnt spoken to her for more than 10 minutes in total, so it wasnt as if we were best mates or anything! hah
Anyway - opened with an opinion question, asking her opinion on which was the better first drink Sex on the Beach or long Island Iced tea - and then followed by asking if she would like one. This was great because it turned the tables, and she started talking to me, rather than me trying to think of something to talk to her about.
Dropped in quite a few more "tactics" such as number games (pick an odd number between 10 and 50 where both digits cant be the same) - unfortunately she didnt guess 37 (which apparently is what 99% of people guess?!) but we had a good chat about the game afterwards and I improvised about how to make it sound like I was really into mind games etc. Then tried another one which she fell for completely - and whilst she was laughing she was resting her head on my chest (IOI??) say how silly she was!
Anyway. Within 45 minutes or so we were walking off on our own to the next drinking venue and we detoured off the path into some trees - where the first of many K-Closes occured. As the night progressed we kept slipping outside from our friends and going back to the trees for more - it was looking like an F-Close was on the cards! Unfortunately this wasnt the case, but I was more than happy with a multi K-close
And the best bit of it all, she texted me this morning at 8AM (she was at work early!!).

Gonna get reading more of the book now for something to hopefully blow her mind on our next meeting

If you ask someone to pick a number between 1 and 50, but both digits must be odd and not the same, they tend to choose 37

The only possible answers are:

13, 15, 17, 19, 31, 35, 37, 39

People tend to look round the upper third and settle on 37. Try it!

Mind games huh? gotta try that one out. Not really a mind game type myself but I think I can pull this off with the one I'm going out with.
