GOING SOLO AT CINEMA

Tonight, I went on my own to my local cinema to see Source Code.

1/3 of the way through the movie, my attention was drawn to nearby light: a girl on my aisle, two empty seats away from me, was texting on her phone. White bright light from her phone lit up some blonde hair and teased the outline of some shapely breasts.

During the movie I figured out that she was on her own. I couldn't understand this as Source Code is an IT movie. For IT people! Usually blokes! So why was she in there on her own?

When the lights came on in the cinema, I got a look at the side of her and she's 5'9", size 8, skinny denim jeans, long golden blonde hair and very hot. I'm still not understanding why an uber-babe was in a movie on her own, far less Source Code, but I knew I had to close her. In my mind I had planned an instant date to the nearby pub; it was 11.25 at night.


IN THE LOBBY

I followed her (now you're stalking) down the escalator, as she was on the phone. She finished her call, looked around the lobby, and I said:

"HEY!" [ this got her attention ]

"I have a name for HOT girls who go to the cinema on their own!"

She flashed a megawatt smile, "And what's that?"

She laughed and we were off on a convo.

I busted her using sexism: watching IT movies is for IT people, isn't rom-coms and chick-flicks more her thing? She raised subject of existentialism and we chatted briefly.

It turns out her two friends wanted to see another movie in the same cinema that night, but she had already seen it, hence she just chose "the only other reasonable thing that seemed to be on at that same time".

She made her way out of the cinema, where her friends were waiting in their car.

Before they picked her up, I wanted to pick her up!

A pub instant date was out of the question now, and there was a clear time constraint before she got in the car, so I said "Hey, I'll need to get your number before you go".

"Sure"

Her friends in the car were so excited by this that they took a photo of us standing together exchanging numbers.

I chatted briefly to her friends in the car - what movie did you see, was it as lame as Source Code? - to create some basic ownership of the situation (confidence rather than a reaction of, oh you took a photo of me, I'm really embarrassed now and will scuttle off).

Other than harassing JohnnyB will a blow-by-blow account of this over the phone (he had the misfortune to text me around the same time), I then texted her (again, busting her on her choice of movies despite being a blondie).


This number may flake as zero comfort building, with number close in two minutes, but she certainly found the who thing funny, and I will call her up after a day or two if she doesn't eventually reply to my cheeky text.

Although I think you forgot to mention one very important aspect in what you did, perhaps because either you didn't notice you were doing it (maybe from a rich experience), or you thought it is self-implying - the body-language. You just did small talk with her, so from her reaction I'm guessing that you could get her attention not with what you were saying but with your confidence and BL. It seems to me from this story that between you and her all of the important communication was not about movies or other nonsense, it just came from your attitude and confidence, which is crucial, especially in this kind of situations.

and yea, i read the game, i then listened to a mystery method cd

then i listened to DAVID DE ANGELO 77 RULES ( which is VERY good as a breif way to act like a man)
