I had been listening to The Blueprint decoded much of the day and was feeling nice and relaxed when I received a text message.

The message was from some girl that I met on the internet who wants to do a language exchange (that's one hour of English for one hour of Italian). I had never even seen her before.

She asked me to meet her at some bar. I was COMPLETELY skint, but I decided to meet her anyway and just not drink anything.

I had nothing prepared in my mind but I felt completely in state. I just told myself, "Let's just play it by ear."

When she turned up I thought, "Wow!" She was lovely. A nice smile, eyes, long thick hair and a very bubbly personality.

We went to the first bar and immediately the kino was on, with our legs under the table. I felt super relaxed and the eye contact between us was magnetic. She had a lovely laugh too.

We chatted in Italian and I kept brushing her arm as I gesticulated. Within five minutes, almost to my own surprise, I found that we were holding hands. I made myself pull back as I realised that I was escalating much too fast. But she was not showing any resistance whatsoever.

We walked to another bar. A very nice low-energy place with books, cosy sofas and a huge open fire. Perfect for a date when you don't want to drink or to be distracted.

Five minutes in and I kept looking at her mouth. I just wanted to plant the lips on her right there and then. I found myself trying to think of some dumb k-close routine and fortunately caught myself on. Then I just went for it. There was no stopping me. I was having her and that's all there was to it.

We made out for ages and I had her purring like a kitten. She was like, "Wow, what happened? This has never happened to me before." I wanted to say, "Me neither," but had to shrug and say, "I know, it's really strange. It's nice though."

After an hour or so, I walked her to her car.

We are going to meet again on Thursday, if she doesn't get buyer's remorse. I doubt it though, she seemed pretty smitten.

Language exchange!!!!

Ha-ha, so that's what they're calling bodily fluids exchange over in Sicily.

haha in Italian it is actually "scambio linguistico" which literally means "tongue exchange".

I would recommend to anybody, by the way, to get on the internet and organise a language exchange. It's worked out well for me on a number of occasions.

It's basically a blind date. If you don't fancy the chick that turns up you don't have to see her again. I've been pretty lucky, they are usually quite fit.

I get the feeling that a lot of girls do it because they would like to meet English men and what man in his right mind doesn't want to get busy with foreign chicks?

Good shout midas. I'm actually learning a foreign language and there seems to be lots of women looking to improve their English!

I met her again the other night and it was the same deal (no buyer's remorse). I was not drinking, so I took her to the most expensive bar in Palermo and drank water. Should be meeting her tonight as well. Happy days.
