I am not sure what I can expect to gain from joining this site, but I want to share some of my experiences so that the other members can get something from me. I hope what follows is of interest, and if anybody has any questions, I will be happy to answer them.

Russian dating sites:-

There can be problems with giving your Credit card details to a foreign company and this initially put me off trying any of the on-line sites. However, quite a lot are based in America, and I chose those. The one I used the most was globaladies.com, which is now club10.com. If you go to the site, you can use the advanced search option without having to join, to look at women in your chosen age range and select height etc. If you decide to take things further, it is also important to find women you can visit fairly easily. When I first joined I wasted a lot of time corresponding with women who were closer to Japan than the UK! Bear in mind that Russia is a very big country.

Riga in Latvia, and Kiev in Ukraine are both countries you can visit without the expense and trouble of a visa, and the flights are cheap. The cities are interesting to visit and prices are on a par or cheaper than the UK. Moscow in contrast is very expensive, plus you need a visa, and getting from the airport costs an arm and a leg. It can also be a dangerous place, and on my three visits there I was very wary, although I didn't actually have any problems. As an example of the mood of the place, the Rough Guide recommends that you cross to the opposite side of the road if you see policemen coming towards you! The police are not paid a living wage and supplement it with bribes - in other words, they will lock you up for some spurious reason, and the only way you will get out is to pay.

On my early visits to Eastern Europe I used hotels, but you can rent apartments for less, and you are more likely to get a woman to come up to a room that has more than a bed for furniture. It is also much more comfortable, in my opinion.

I took the view that it would be interesting to visit these places with a free guide for a few days, even if the woman I met turned out not to be interested in me, or me in her.
If you decide to join, you will be inundated with e-mails and it is important to bear some things in mind. The sites don't charge women for joining and make their money from mens subscriptions. Sometimes you may be corresponding with the person who runs the agency, and who will string you along to keep your membership fees coming in. It is fairly easy to sort these out. Just say that you want to meet as soon as possible.

It is more interesting if you can learn a little Russian, but the women you meet will generally be very well educated and happy to speak English. The general level of education is much higher than the UK. The women are interested in politics and literature and the arts to a much greater degree than women in England and you will find yourself having very intellectual conversations. It can be a little bit embarrasing at times to find that a Ukranian secretary is better read and knows more about English literature than you do!
Russian people are very polite and have old-world manners. A woman will expect to walk arm in arm with you in the street, will expect you to help her on and off with her coat, to open doors etc. Once you get into the swing of it, it is very pleasant...you feel like Carry Grant!

The women tend to dress much better than in the UK and there are a lot of very beautiful women around. They tend to be slimmer than English women and take much more pride in their appearance.

My first meeting was with the MD's secretary at S C Johnson (Mr Muscle etc), in Kiev. I was 53 at the time and she was 32. She wrote to me in the first place, and seemed keen but I was very conscious of the age difference. We had corresponded for a month or so when I asked if she would like to meet. She booked me into an hotel and arranged for a taxi to pick me up at the airport. I met her in the lobby of my hotel after she finished work.

We went to a nice restaurant for a meal and although it seemed to me we were getting on well, she kept leaving the table for 10 or 15 minutes at a time, which I thought was strange. The conversation flowed easily, and I thought she was gorgeous and keen on me. However, when I leaned to kiss her at the end of the night, she turned away.
We met the following day (Saturday) and visited a church, then later met a friend of hers with her Canadian boyfriend. Everything seemed to be going well, but again, every time I leaned to kiss her, she turned away. This went on for two more days, and I had more or less given up.

Then, on the fourth day after our evening meal, she asked if we could go to my hotel as she wanted to talk to me about something important. I got drinks and came to sit with her. She said that she had lied about something in her profile, and she hoped I wouldn't be angry. My mind was considering all sorts of possibilities, then she said that she smoked, and did I mind?
I smoke myself, but as I thought she didn't I had only smoked at the hotel after she had left. I put that I didn't smoke on my profile too, as I can do without when I have to.
It suddenly dawned on me that the reason for her leaving the restaurant for 10 minutes at a time, and turning away when I went to kiss her, was because she didn't want me to smell her smoky breath! We had a good laugh at the situation and had a couple of cigarettes together.

I thought it was time to move things along, so I asked her if she would like to come up to my room. She sat there for a minute not saying anything, so I said "What do you think?"
She said, "I am considering your proposal" That line will stay with me for ever.

I said, "Why don't you consider it while we send for the lift?", and up we went.

Our mutual frustration of the previous few days was dealt with over the next few hours, and we stayed in touch for two years. I took her on holiday to the Crimea that summer and visited the site of the Charge of the Light Brigade, and lots of other interesting places.

That was my first adventure and it whetted my appetite for many more. Over all, I had a 50% success rate on my meetings, which isn't bad, I suppose. The only problem is that you commit to a minimum of four days, and having a week in St Petersberg with a hard-faced, money grabbing tart is no fun, I can tell you.

Thanks for sharing your experience, mate. Very interesting! I was out with a few work colleagues on Fri and funny enough, we were talking about Riga and St Petersburg. My mate had been on stag do's at both places and was telling stories about some of his mates on the stag party being set upon by girls and enticed to some bars where they were robbed by the locals. Not that I ever plan to go to these places to check the girls.

Anyway, just curious as to why you travelled to these Eastern Bloc to meet up with the girls? Is it a matter of preference?

If you look at the quality of the women on Club10.com you will see why I was interested in going East.

I was also interested to see how different life was in these former communist countries.

If you go on stag do's to Riga and elsewhere you will be enticed into strip clubs and get robbed, unless you have a friend locally to show you the ropes.

One of the things you have to bear in mind is that the average wage is around £300 per month, and that is if you have a job at all. Latvia particularly is suffering from the crap economic climate at the moment - much worse than the UK. And there is no Welfare State.

The girls you meet in clubs would be regarded as prostitutes in England. I don't hold that view. It's doing what they need to do to survive.

If I were looking for a wife, I would look East. The women are well-educated and intelligent, have good family values, and they aren't addicted to Coronation Street. They are also slim and beautiful.

I was seeing this Russian, hot and a nymph too.

However her house was attached to the landlords and another house, under the houses was a cellar that linked them all together and they had a bunch of computers set up where they stole details, forged stuff and all kinds of dodgy stuff. Oh this is all in Manchester too.

I don't think she was mafia or anything just small time but maybe the landlord was connected.

I didn't leave her then though, the sex was too good.
I only left her when she got annoying and clingy when I wanted to talk to my friends then ended up flirting with one of her exes, but it was going nowhere we didn't really talk much and I was getting bored of sex, yes I did just say that but It was actually hurting from having too much.

As a Russian interpreter I have plenty of experience with Russian women. When I say experience, what I mean is I have slept with lots of them. Avoid the mail-order bride sites. If you just go to Russia, seem respectable in their eyes, it's very easy to lay them. Those sites are all scams. I have known a lot of guys who have tried to meet women on there. Trust me, fly to Moscow. You'll be in bed with a nice one in only a few hours.

Apart from the flights, Moscow is expensive to visit and is quite an intimidating place. The Rough Guide says you should cross the road if you see policemen, never mind the thugs! Of all the places I might go in Eastern Europe on my own, Moscow would be bottom of my list. I have been three times and didn't meet anyone who hadn't been robbed at a cash machine, or had a close friend it had happened to.

Speaking Russian Milton, puts you at a distinct advantage over most people. Imagine trying to get from the airport to the city centre on your first trip and unable to speak a word of Russian. How much would you end up paying the taxi driver?


The dating sites are not all a scam. I have used Club10.com and Russianeuro.com and over the last three years met some very nice women. If you subscribe to one of the above, which I believe are American based companies, you shouldn't get ripped off.

I really like the way that you phrased that. Speaking the language makes a massive difference. Then again, you do speak english, this is valuable in many countries.

In japan/korea, some people said that all you need is one line to get laid 'Can you teach me japanese?'

I think you miss the point Swype - if you read the beginning of M62man's first post, all he was doing was sharing his experience. And offering help if anyone is interested. I know this is a pick-up site and maybe the post should be posted in the off-topic section but it's up to Jaz or Twisted to move the post if they dont think it is appropriate.

Is it just me or is this forum becoming a place where if you put a foot wrong, post an appropriate post, disagree with certain PU methods, we becoming judgmental of people rather than a forum where we share, help and advise. Maybe it is just me, if that the case then I apologise!
