So I went out tonight with my 2 of my 5 wings (you see St Albans is getting the treatment.. hint hint
)
Its become apparent to me that over the last month Im staying in set for ages... but just not getting attraction, hence my flakes...
One of my new wings has been gaming for 3 years and is good at getting attraction, but is in a relationship and doesn't come out often.
Another one of my wing has bad AA, but when I open and introduce him to the set, they fall in love with him, as hes only 19 and a "cutey" as the girls call him...
So in order to try and solve the issues we are both having. This evening on our sarge session, we covertly recorded our sets and its very interesting to see how our game is, and each of us have different strengths and weaknesses...
Now the 3 things that stuck out for me
1.The Speed and hecticness of my voice.... im like a machine gun... firing questions at them... admittedly they are not interview questions, but are along the lines off cold reading....
"so who's the naughty one, whos the sensible one then ?"
"so you're the school teacher, and you're the accountant ??
"so did you choose to be the teacher, or did you parents"
now this is what is keeping me in set, as ive hundreds of questions, and I can stay in set for quite a long time, atl east over 30 mins...
problem is.... its not creating attraction and im machine gunning them out like a dick...my experienced wing, says this is calibration and will come...
The more interesting part of it... playing it back...I opened a 5 set and sorted out the mother hen, by putting her in her place...
The minute I did that, you could see I was getting huge IOWs from 2 of the others, the mother hen saw this, and started blocking them from me, and started negging me,to try and get back the value I took off her..
Meanwhile the other 2 moved in closer to me,to try and get my attention, by throwning HUGE IOWS.
Now do you think I saw this happening in the frame... no fucking chance,it was shocking seeing it on camera afterwards, and seeing how I let 2 good HB7/8s slip away,as I was machine gunning away with the leader of the group, who i quite liked... I was completely unaware of what has unfolding in front of me, you can hear my wing who is filming it, giving a commentary on it....
This is where my experienced wing of 3 years says calibrations comes in...
2. Im ever ever so slightly leaning in... and pecking (but its slight)
3.As im machine gunning, my hands are all over the place making gestures...
so if anyone has any advice/links on how to stop or train myself not too machine gun speed talking, and how to "relax" in set Id love to know.
numbers 2 and 3 im not so worried about, its number 1, I need to get fixed...
thanks tebbs...
