Saturday night was a bit of a bust but I had some good interactions.
First I went to a suprise birthday party but it was really stale. I only stayed for an hour. My ex-fiancee was there which made it worse. I took my ipod on the way up and got myself in state by listening to some kick ass rock.
Spoke to one of my friends who politely asked how I was doing and as my ex was behind me I told her about Thursday night where I ended up hanging around with two goth models. It was a pretty ordinary night but I talked it up a little and could see the envious look on my friends face which was cool.
Best thing to come from the party was that I saw my ex this morning and she's completely changed her hair. It's shallow, but I think that was partly down to insecurity from overhearing my story.
From the party I went and met some more friends in their local, which is a real old mans pub and just concentrated in being in the moment and enjoying myself.
Finally got to the Marrs Bar and started opening a little. I've started using a funny opener from a conversation about him wanting to open a girl by just growling at her. I ask the girl whether that would work and when she says no, I joke that it would totally work on her.
Opened a HB7 with this line and then chatted a little, she wasn't warming to me so I moved on.
A friend of mine who's jsut split up with her ex started to try and play games with me and my mate by getting close to our faces and stopping millimetres away. I wasn't putting up with this shit so I just started saying no when she was real close and then freezing her out. She kept trying to get my attention but I wasn't biting.
Later on I walked straight up to the dancefloor, where she was spun her round danced a little, dipped her, pulled her close and then walked away and started talking to someone else. I think I proved I have a stronger frame.
Only other interaction of note was with a mates fuck buddy. Did some cold reading and made her laugh but didn't escalate (he's a good mate and I just wanted her to know he's got some cool friends, social proof achieved).
Most important thing for me though was that all though I've still got some AA, it's getting easier and I didn't let pickup be the only reason for being out.
I was actually smiling when I walked home for a change.
Rock n roll.
