Hey Guys,

Still super high from Thursday night I was out for a meal in Leeds with a friend who was visiting from Japan.

We went to a real nice Italian place called Bibis.

As we walked in we were greeted by a super attractive waitress.

We got some drinks and I looked around taking in the atmosphere. I saw the other female waitresses and she was definitley the hottest. AA still being my main issue here I decided there and then I would talk to her that night.

After a drink at the bar we sat down for our meal. Unfortunatley the waitress who greeted us at the door wasnt serving our food for the evening.

Me and my friend caught up and towards the end of the meal I said to my friend.

Me: Man that waitress is hot
Friend: I know dude
(I have this type of conversation with most of my friends, where we talk about how hot a girl is but neither of us ever do anything about it)
Me: Im gonna tell her
Friend: WHA....ur not serious
Me: Fuck it dude, im sick of always wondering what if...
Friend: What if she laughs in your face?
Me: Fuck it at least il have tried.

We finished up and made our way to the exit where she was waiting to greet customers.

I approched from behind, my heart was racing like the clappers, once again my head was saying two things 'Dont do it man this can only end bad for you! NOOO dont listen to him, you have to do this, You CAN do this'. I touched the back of her arm.

Me: Excuse me
W: Yes
Me: I had to say, you are the cutest waitress i have seen all night. Without having to come back in here how do I get to see you again?
(Her face lit up )
W: OMG! I cant believe someones saying this to me, I have a boyfriend though.
Me: Ah no problem
W: Thank you so much though you've really made my night.
Me: No worries, and thank you guys for the awesome service, we'l definitley be back.

As i walked out I felt on top of the world. Even though I didnt get the desired result, I once again tackled my AA and did something that at one time I would never have dreamed of. My friend couldnt believe I had done it, so much so he wouldnt shut up about it all night .

AA is the Biggest crippling factor when you first start approaching, Once you have Conquered this the rest is a piece of piss.

Good job mate. It is good to go direct to overcome AA and not be result dependent. The "who cares", "fuck it" attitude is the best way forward. And as you have proven yourself, girls love to be complimented. I do this quite a lot especially when Im shopping in Sainsbury. I see a hot girl/lady, I just stop and tell her that she looks stunning and carry on with my shopping unless if I get a good vibe fro her then I stop and chat some more. Whatever comes out of that initial conversation is irrelevant. I probably will never see her again!!

dude an awesome way to get over aa is by playing the approach word game (or whatever its called)...it fucking rocks.

on a night out challenge one of the guys your with as follows; give them a random word like "Bread or squirrel or melon or psychology etc,,, then the challenge is that they have to open a "set" with a line to do with that word. also they have to tell u what the line is before they do the actual approach (this can actually be helpful if ur shit at improv) after their approach they then give u a word and u do the same...and it goes on all night

eg on saturday night tom gave me the word "bread" so i went upto 2 girls and opened with something to the effect of "u alright... blah blah blah got a quick Q do u think medium sliced bread is better than thick sliced bread" it was fucking hilarious we ended up talking about some other total random shit but we were all having a laugh and they were all over me...decent 7s

hustler gave me the word "gynacologist" twat!!! but i pulled it off spectacularly, the girl i used it on wouldnt leave me alone. love u hustler!

you can seriously get through about 10 approaches per bar within a very short space of time and its fun as fuck cos you keep challenging each other. you get serious social proof as well cos everyone sees you chattin away to loads of random peeps. its pretty decent for improving aswell.

I think Legend makes a good point. Now he's said this I realise that my AA only started becoming an after-thought after I started approaching girls direct. Going direct is putting your feelings out there and on the line. When you first open a girl direct and she doesn't laugh at you and ridicule you like your head said she would, it's quite a liberating feeling.

Hey Phenom, that's cool shit. You pushed yourself out of comfort zone (and had confidence to ignore your mate!). Good story. You made the move and have no regrets as you put your neck out there. Keep doing that, and one day one of these HBs you compliment *won't* have a boyfriend and will be attracted to your confidence.
