Friday was a huge step for me concerning the art of pickup, I received unquestionable proof that not only is the game for picking up birds, but can be used to portray such confidence that your whole life can be what ever you want it to be.
Let me explain:

Friady,
Like many others I was out watching England’s dreadful performance in weatherspoons, as shit as the match was I didn’t let it ruin my night but instead used it to fuel my game.
I noticed the atmosphere got I little dead but decided to sarge every group in sight.
I started off opening a group of girls who were accompanied by one lad, just general chit chat, a bit of banter, but I never really tried to pick up. Instead I had my group of mates latch on to the group of girls and continued playing the centre of attention.
In between drinks, I would stop and open anyone, Girl sets, male sets, mix sets, bar staff and even the bouncers. Nearly every conversion started with “ OMG!! How shit were we?........”
I realised later on I was no longer obsessed with number closes, kiss closes or even getting laid, I was just enjoying the fact that with a bit of enthusiasm and energy, I could communicate with pretty much anyone,

A few hours into the night, I had just left a set of two girls and a lad my friend had just introduced me to, and I rejoined my original group of girls who were happily being entertained by my mates.

As soon as I sat down, a reasonably good looking woman tapped me on the shoulder from behind, she had followed me from my previous set. She even approached my latest set asking questions about me, “who’s that lad, what’s his name, how old?”

Wake
“hey, you ok”

Woman
“ hi, I work for a company called ********, and we produce and shoot programs such as *********, (I knew the programs) and I was just wondering if you would be interested in auditioning for a new TV show were about to shoot in Newquy?”

Wake
“hahaha, are you winding me up? Did someone tell you to say this?”

Woman
“Nope, I really do work for *********, here, take my card”.

My mate
“Wake!! I think she’s trying to chat you up, hahaha”

Woman,
“haha, no Im happily married, look” pointing at a wedding ring.

Wake
“er…. Yeah……I duno….er……..who are you?”

Woman
“haha, how old are you?”

Wake
“21”

Woman,
“ well were generally looking for people aged 19 to 20, but you should be ok”

Some more usual chit chat, were u from etc…

Woman
“ so take my card, check out our website and email me to the address on the card, Can u make it to Newquy on Monday?”

Wake
“Er….not sure, yeah actually, I prob will get in touch, I mean what av I got to loose”

Woman,
“ exactly, see you later.”

Needless to say I was on a high all night an hit town.
Although I never made the audition due to work and the fact that Newquy is friggin miles away, its proof that you can stand out and make a life changing, impression to others with help from the game, I assume my high energy made me stand out as everyone else in the bar was on a downer after the match.

So don’t get too caught up in trying to pull girls, I don’t believe that that’s all the game is for, in fact I believe that’s just the beginning, that the pick up game is to help bring out the real you, the confident you. Not just to help you get laid but to better your life.

to top it all off,
last week in work, we had a meeting with the big boss, the kind of boss you only see once a year, i used what ive learned to engage him in conversation,(first time ive spoken to him) and got onto the topic of a pay rise,
found out today i recieved a pay rise, double what i expected, he told my boss he like how confident i was, how quirky or some shit, an have the game to thank.

Well done man. I'm pleased for you!

What TV show was the woman approaching you about. If it's country file or something I'll be far from impressed! lol

haha, she worked for a company that film hollyoaks, but the shoot she was tellin me about wasnt hollyoaks, it was some other shit.
