Went out in Richmond on Friday with a mate.
It was England night but the logic was this would fractionally distillate a high concentration of quality women into a few key areas!
First, All Bar One. It was sparse, really quiet. We had a great time chatting, but we sensed breaking into any of the sets would be difficult. Most sets were seated, no free seats, body language was people catching up rather than welcoming new attention.
Maybe we were talking ourselves out of it a little.

Plus we were having a great laugh anyway just catching up!

Headed to a bar showing the game. 20 minutes left, a complete debacle, atmosphere drunken and angry. I opened an Indian girl near the bar. Got the energy level right, half watching the game, half chatting, she was fun and she knew her football. After the game she approached me and we met her friends.
15 minutes in we're getting on well but she mentions she has a boyfriend. I seem to be meeting lots of attached at the moment and sometimes closing their digits, but it seems to flake when the buying temperature goes down. Anyway the minute I knew she was attached my interest began to wane a little.

We ejected with our now customary International Distress Call - Where's Lee? - time to go find our mysterious, imaginary friend!

Went into another bar on the river.
Mostly full of blokes, drunken scrots whose only game seemed to be gawking or trying to accidentally bump girls on the dancefloor.

There were hardly any women in there but I spied a 3 set, got primed to go... Then my mate asked me ' Are you just opening them because you can, or are you genuinely interested in any of them?'
Whoa, too much thinking in this game can be a bad thing! But he sort of had a point and I conceded I wasn't particularly interested in any of them.
Has anyone else had this epiphany where you move from just wanting to rack up the approaches to actually thinking do I even want to?

Back downstairs I opened a 3 set of drunken women who could hardly hear what I was saying, so that quickly petered out.

Then my mate spots the best looking girls in there. I approach and we spend the next half hour with them. The IOI's seemed good, excellent rapport with one, they buy me a drink, she starts kino-ing me, feeling my chest etc.
Then suddenly they leave before I can even get the attempt to close out of my mouth.

By now I'm sailing on the Guinness high seas, 5 pints down (I prefer to game sober).

I spy one last set for the night, an older woman who seems to be looking over. I went over there thinking f-close or nothing, which I'd never done before. Mentally it felt good to be so charged and genuinely thinking I deserved it and could achieve it.
It didn't happen, she was attached, seeing friends for the weekend. We had a good laugh but her mate cold shouldered my friend so that was that.

So empty handed, and after a recent spate of success/numbers, I was briefly a little dejected.

But as my mate pointed out we spent quality time with the 2 best looking women in there and they thought you were hilarious, and bought you a drink!

I think more approaches without any attachment to the outcome will see more success soon.
