I had a superb night out yesterday, and I wanted to repeat it tonight. All of my good friends have gone home for the summer, but I was able to go out for the last night of the Summer term with some people I know from my block on campus.

They are all really cool people, and I love them to bits. Special mention goes to my flatmate Jade. She is a serious woman-pimp. She has four boyfriends at once, which is definitely unconventional. She is a powerful girl, who knows what she wants and gets it without compromise. I respect her a great deal. Best thing about her is, she agreed to be my pivot, which is awesome, since she is definitely a ten. Not my type, but the perfect pivot, to be sure.

Anyway, tonight was awesome fun too.

Bit slow to start; I waited for an hour with my friends for a taxi, which took forever to turn up. I ended up getting a taxi on my own, cos it was quicker. I dropped by the first pub I saw once in the center, and I met this really cute girl called 'Ed' (its short for Eloise; don't ask me how) who I would put at an 8. She spilt my drink, so I talked her into buying me another one. She gave me her number. Win.

Next stop was the Cuban, which is this cool little cocktail bar on Canterbury high street. I saw one of the girls from my flat, who I fancy like mad, but couldnt work up the courage to talk to her. Shame, since I flirted with her like crazy on FB chat yesterday, and she seemed into it. I was sitting there looking at her (she didnt see me) like a complete retard, and then I noticed this two-set sitting at a table nearby who looked unnoccupied.

I opened with the fight opener ("did you guys see that fight outside...") and then locked in by stealing one of their seats. I asked them if they wanted to see a magic trick. I got the obstacle to stand up, do a little spin, and then sat down in her seat. Magic. I threw a few more routines in, interspersed with brief intervals of small talk. And then bounced outside with my target for a smoke. Once outside I gave her the "OMFG all my friends are going home for summer; who the hell am I going to go out with?!?" act, to which she replied "Me, of course". We exchanged numbers. Technically, I should have escalated, but it was closing time, and I have to move house tomorrow.

I'm proud of myself, since tonight has been more natural than other nights. I havnt been sharking, and my energy level is much more appropriate and less nervously-induced. I'm just generally more comfortable. Plus, I now have two more cool girls to chase up for more nights out.
