I met a non-PU friend earlier tonight for drinks in a few pubs in my new town.
He's about twenty years older than me and we went to venues with little potential and also had really intense business conversation that took a lot of my time and energy.
Still before I met him on the way to venue 1 I failed to open a 3 set of hot girls walking past me on the street. Despite my recent online successes my AA is too high and my confidence too low. I'm good on the day 1s stemming from online, my comfort building, kino, rapport is good when I've hooked them online, my confidence for that is high.
Anyway, I decided to go to a strip club after my friend caught the bus home.
I used to be a really seedy character and am trying to break out of it. I know I'm not perfect guys, but believe me I'm getting better every day
.
I have recently read Mystery's The Pickup Artist with a section on stripper game.
Anyway, I found a half price entry voucher on the street and decided to go in. (This wouldn't be a DLV because the entry till is downstairs from the club proper and there's no communication between the two that I could make out).
I went upstairs and ordered a Magners. I opened a two set of guys to chat to, try to get local intel on nightclubs, chat about etiquette in this venue etc.
My accent was obvious to them which has information value to me, people tended to think I sound Aussie though.
Broke with them and chatted to another guy by the bar, again not much intel, we were opened by Dancer 1. He told her a lie about owning a villa in South Africa. I asked him where and he said he was lying. I then started a thread to help him lie more effectively. Next time say Cape Town, five minutes from the beach, on the slopes of the mountain, etc. Tried to bring in a sensory riff about breakers on the beach. He broke off to join his pals, leaving me with Dancer 1. We chatted a bit, I said I was entrepreneur who'd moved North to cut costs, etc. Talked about travel etc. It became clear I wasn't going to buy a dance and she excused herself.
I asked the barman if the tunes came from an Ipod and he laughed and said no there's a DJ booth next door. I think him and the barmaid laughed at me. They could see what I was up to.
I was opened a little later by Dancer 2. She commented on my accent. I said I've moved around a lot. She said that's a cop out, you sound Aussie. I said I lived in SA for 8 years, but also Dublin for 13 and various regions of UK. She said she had lived in London, Midlands and Lancs. I said I'd been to all those places. I then said to her, you're a performer but you have to know psychology. I said friends of mine that were dancers talked about psychology. Wouldn't she be better off opening a group of four guys over there. Guys will buy dances for each other, etc. She said psychology is bullshit, her mother's into it. She then was like why was I there if I wasn't going to buy a dance. I said to drink late, she said there's other places for that. I said I'm new in town, tell me where. This one had gone down in flames lol.
A little later I was opened by Dancer 3, a blonde Hungarian. I asked her where she was from, Hungary. Yes, Budapest. When she asked I said I hadn't been there. I talked about my Uncle doing business there in the eighties under communism, and also in Czech, Poland and Russia. Riffed off that a bit. Talked about various Hungarian people I know. She asked if I wanted a dance and said I was just chilling, new to town, etc. I said there's plenty of other guys in here, wouldn't they want a dance. She said no, people are just drinking.
At this point I realised strip clubs are really lame and tragic. I've been to a fair few in different parts of the world, but normally I had major social proof. Is Mystery's stripper game bullshit or are British strippers just much harder to chat up? My game is still weak, but I avoided some major pitfalls: staying too long, buying a dance, accepting their frame.
I know some of you guys will shoot this down, but I don't care. I want PU
I need a better answer for when people ask where I'm from, for me it's complicated but I need this down.
Passed a seventies type bar on the way home but it sounded rough as f*ck. Decided not to go in. I lived on a street in SA near a major gangster. There was a drive by on my street when I was 14.
Still, I prefer to dodge large packs of p*ssed up Englishmen, unless I have a big crew around me.
Tomorrow meeting some younger local guys to watch the football. I will try to build social proof, gain intel, etc through them.
I am starting practically from zero up here, I understand you guys have social networks etc. I just have willpower, intelligence and a foreign accent. But I will make a success of my life and will be happy.
Any constructive advice gratefully received
