I went to the local rock/metal bar tonight and found it to be one of the most unfriendly places to get talking to girls.

I did get talking to alot of groups and 90% of the girls that I was getting on with and that had any sort of decent chat were not regulars of that scene.
It seems to me that the girls who frequent the rock bars are alot more agressive

Now iv had a bit of a rest I can piece together one of the good approaches from last night

It was a nice girl, about a 8 in a group of guys. So i first opened up by approaching the guys for conversation, at this point she was sitting on the outside of there circle.

ME: This is place is so quiet tonight dont ya think?

guy chat about that for a little while, usual blah blah complaint shit.

ME: so where do you guys usualy go?

I then turned to the girl and addressed her

ME: what about, you?
HER: Well im not really a regular of this kind of place
ME: Well you have the jacket for it
HER: we were dragged her on a birthday

I then addressed the group asking who's birthday it was.

ME: so where is the birthday girl
HER: she left us here and went off
ME: wow, thats harsh, maybe you guys are just really mean *followed by a grin*

HER: Noooo were def not

ME: So what would your ideal night out be, obviously not being this place?

just then one the guys in her group jumped in like *wait a minute!* and then said *never mind*. So I addressed the question to the whole group and didnt get an answer haha

HER: These guys are all going to another club now
ME: So your gonna leave me here all by myself, you are terrible!

she smiled then said it was because all he friends were leaving blah blah.

Then nothing much else, they all left and I went on and opened up some failure sets. But overall I think this one went well, I kept my cool, I engaged a group that was 90% guys and managed to get talking and stuff. And she was open to me I didnt get any indication of being closed off. Her guy friend jumping in kind of screwed up my flow though

Personally for me I feel most at home in Rock clubs and engaging with Rock chicks, they tend to be much more open-minded people than most that I meet in your generic nightclub.
Don't be put off by the 'intimidating' look some of them sport i.e. tats, piercings I'm abit of a freak in that I love sleeve tatoos on chicks.

I find rock chicks in clubs to be far more friendly than your average slapper you see out. That could be because of my style.
