I was debating whether to post this or not as it's pretty personnel but I asked dizzle and thought it might help some of you people.

The back story

Before I got into all this pick up stuff I had this on off relationship with this french girl. For someone who hadn't been versed in all this she was a handful because she was on/off all the time, but me being the chode I was chased after her again and again.
I found out that she had some pretty bad things happen in her past which I won't go into but I thought I should mention just to bear in mind that people might have more to them and treat them genuinely and remember they are a person not just some lay.

Anyway she moved to Switzerland and I started my road along pick up, she came back to visit and I'd changed a bit but even then she'd noticed the difference and I ended up one drunken night kissing her.
She told me that if in a years time we were single we should get married, I took this to be a joke but later on I realized that she was serious or at least wanted something more because when she found out that I had a girlfriend she told me she would have married me!

She came back to visit again, I suppose I should point out that we were friends first before all this happened so I'd told her previously I was happy just to be friends but nothing more.
Anyway I went round one of her friends houses had a few drinks met people then we went out met POWER STEVE and witnessed Wes's legendary dance!

At the end of the night I was going to catch my bus and she got pissed off with me because I was leaving and not going back to her friends. I'd made sure I wasn't flirty with her or suggestive so I told her I couldn't give her anything more.

Later she e-mailed me saying her friend had talked her into trying to get me to come back with her and asking that when I was single again if I'd give her another chance.

So I sent back this reply... (slightly edited to cut out unnecessary crap)

Then later I remember you saying something about how I could move on so quickly when you found out I was seeing Helen but my way of thinking had changed massively in terms of relationships and in general.

I had choice, I wasn't getting in a relationship with any girl who took interest in me. In a way I was a bit of a slut and saw a lot of girls but I was always honest with them and told them from the start I didn't want a relationship.
Helen was different though and I even went out the night after meeting her with the aim of meeting other women because I couldn't believe I wanted a relationship with her, I wasn't looking for one.

I'm glad that you have sorted things out and I still want to be friends with you but I can't promise you anything more and I don't think you should wait for me, if you meet someone else give them a chance.
Sorry if this upsets you but I don't want to promise you things that I can't give.
