A small progress report / field report.

Met some of the Manchester PUAs on Friday and Saturday for some night game. My second night game session with people in the game. I went for a mixture of canned / natural openers and natural content, trying to bear in mind some of the themes that Mystery and co. talk about.

I opened a lot of sets, had some really decent and flowing conversations, and can feel my game and general group social skills improving. I have a lot to work on, but it is actually pretty good fun.

Some highlights:

A lady told me to fuck off - I was actually quite amused.

A decent conversation and a number close.

Lots of other decent conversations but not closed - need to do better next time / need to choose more attractive targets.

My favourite approach - Rood approached a set in the pub/club where we were, and during the opener, I approached a set behind this one, and starting interacting with them. It was quite a large group, and when two guys appeared I introduced myself and went and spoke to them - eventually I was getting on well with them, and they were surprised/amazed about how I joined their group. One guy suggested I talk more with his single female friend as she was available - pushing myself a little further, after a few minutes I gestured for her to come over; she did - after a chat I left on a high, without closing (I wasn't too keen on her).

I was amazed at myself for approaching and being welcomed by a mixed 10-set - felt like one of those Style moments when you realise - shit, this game is powerful stuff, am I really doing this?...

Overall, I met some very cool and interesting people, including the fellow guys I was out with. I was very impressed with the other PUAs’ Game, and the learning that was going on was great to see. Keen now to get better at the game and also the other stuff (winging and such).

Cheers for all the advice and such over the weekend – it was great. Constructive criticism is always welcome – I’ll keep on ploughing forward, pushing it a bit each time.
