Okay, so my mates are putting on a night soon and got the flyers delivered today. I figured it'd be a great opportunity to go into town and get some practice as it's a good excuse to talk to people. I told my flatmate (who is one of the promoters) about the community and he seemed pretty up for giving it a try as well.

The first place we went there was a massive group sat around a few tables outside with these two pretty hot girls (maybe 8's). I saw one of them look at me earlier and I thought they looked kinda bitchy (definitely my own insecurity) but I was determined to chat to them anyway. They were right at the back so I spoke to the people closest first and gave them some flyers then excused myself and walked up to them. The only way to get there was to approach from behind but I did and they were actually quite welcoming.

They both said they had boyfriends but were out on a 'man hate' because the taller of the two was having problems with hers. After a while they invited me to come and sit with them so I climbed over and was sat in the middle between them with the taller one's leg over my knee. I made a point of ignoring her and chatting to her friend so she started stroking my foot with her shoe and stroking my arm and stuff. Normally I'd be really responsive but I deliberately kept negging her and when I mentioned her boyfriend again she said 'I don't have one'!

She KEPT asking for a cigarette and when I said no started delving her hands in my pockets and feeling around for them but I stood my ground. She was like 'You should give me one because my boyfriend's been really mean to me and now so are you' and I said 'Well I'm not your boyfriend'. I didn't give her one in the end and she went into a bit of a sulk but I wasn't bothered. What do you reckon guys? In future should I continue to stand my ground or eventually give them one if they beg enough?

Anyway as we left I said 'Oh yeah, let me grab your numbers' and got them both. We said our goodbyes and I kissed the tall one on the cheek, then she turned her head to the other side so I could kiss that. Then when she turned back around I was pretty sure she wanted to kiss me. I would have gone for it but I don't want to pull girls that aren't single just out of principle. I don't know how you lot feel about that but I don't approve of it.

Anyway, we went on to another place and I was chatting to this quite hot student who's new to the city so I was telling her good places to go. When I left I said 'Let me have your number and I can text you about any good nights coming up'. She gave it to me but she did look a little taken aback and I didn't really get any IOI's off her. Still, it's a number and even if it's only another girl to recognise me in clubs and give me social proof, it's worth having. She said she's going out tomorrow to a night I might be going to as well so I might see her there.

So not a bad night, 3 numbers and some good experience negging (which is definitely an area I'm not too comfortable in and need to improve). Any tips for improvement or general comments greatly appreciated.
