Hey all,

I ended up going into town Saturday afternoon to watch the football (up the reds) with a couple of friends. As we entered the beer garden sat across from us I caught sight of a x2 set 7/8 now bearing in mind that none of my friends outside of work are familiar with the community everything they see us do is pretty extraordinary. Not that I am doing this for the acclaim of my piers its more now to do with the fact I cant bring myself to not open when a see an opportunity as Im sure you will all agree its not a question of should I open these girls its what opener shall I use?

I went in with the "who lies more" we need a female opinion? This opener is fast becoming a favourite as it seems to either lead to a great bit of banter or you can have a 5 min light hearted conversation about the differences in the two sexes, is anyone else getting other reactions than these two I'd be interested in hearing the stories?

as the opener started to run its course I added a time constraint and went on to the 5 questions game, which worked perfectly and got me my first IOI from the 7 "whats your name"?... I entered this set with no goal in mind I wasnt thinking Im after a kiss off the 7 or a number from the 8 it was literally I saw them and opened, which has been the state of mind and automatic pilot I have been looking for over the past year.

Amanda got up and excused herself for the bathroom, as she did this I became consious of my time constraint and at the same time excused myself to rejoin my friends. (bit of a school boy error looking back really should have locked in the 8). When I played the 5 questions game it was with the 7 I was following protocol and ofcourse ignoring the 8 (target) and waiting for the opportunity to falsly disqualify my-self but that opportunity never came she just sat and watched.

When Amanda returned I was now sat with my two friends the other side of the beer garden and notice the girls looking over a couple of times IOI. As they stood to leave I made eye contact with Alison and she started to make her way over so I stood and walked over to her trying not to make it awkward for her in front of my friends as it turned out it was just a good bye nice to meet you blah blah. Then as she was leaving Amanda came to say her good bye me still stood in the same spot this time it was a little different still the same "ntmu" but I asked this time "so what are your plans tonight? " "I want to go out" she said "but there isnt anyone out" I took this as a third IOI and just asked "why dont we meet"? At this she went straight into "ok but I need to get ready, It will take me acouple of hours" I offered my phone for the number exchange, missed called her and off she went. (Result) It seemed so easy this time! Not like other attempts? why is that? Is this just a numbers game? all opinions are welcome.

The best thing about this story is I never got the call from Amanda the text I got was from a unrecognised number that said only "Mwah x ali x" after a couple of txts back and forth she is coming to mine Wednesday for an hour lets see how this one pans out? I will ofcourse update this post then.

I think the point here is its the first time I have actually just seen the set and approached with no real assesment of what my goal was and It has been one of my best results by far! less pressure = better result. I think the only goal was to do a good routine and see where it leads definately the new frame of mind I will be using Who cares if I dont make it to a phase shift or get to isolate as long as they have fun and I do. lesson learned. I know a few of you may read this and go.."well yea...wtf you been playing at all this time"? My answer is simple just a lack of experience. But the rejections are becoming less and less and the results are starting to come through more often.
