So last night I went out solo. Sheffield was dead to start with. So I just chatted to the bar staff in a couple of bars (this small talk is getting easier). They actually seemed friendlier when I said I was out by myself.

In Revolution I chatted to a couple of barmaids who were on a night out and they bought me a cocktail, a while later they left.

After Revolution I headed to West Street Live. I decided to go indirect first. But I noticed the girls seemed to lose attraction after I rattled of a routine. To be honest they smiled as they approached and in that instance I should of just said "Hi, how are you".

I left West Street Live to look for somewhere else but most places were shut.
I made a mental note to goto Viper Rooms.

On the way back down West Street I saw West Street Live was busy. As I walked in a girl smiled at me, I asked her if she was seeing anyone she said no, I said "Good because I want to f**k you" (got that line from Sylvia Day "Bared To You"). She actually seemed impressed with how direct I was and handed over her phone number.

I spent most the night hanging around with her and her sister and there 3 mates. Some guys became my best new firiends after they saw me hanging with the girls (I had already told the guys I was out by myself).

However it didnt escalate anywhere. It was as though I had put my cards on the table and although I was direct I couldnt follow it up.

But for my first night of solo game in Sheffield, it was a bloody good night.

I never made it to Viper Rooms, it somehow became 3am. Im not sure where 3.5 hours went. But I was with that girl and her mates and just having fun.

How do you mean "I couldn't follow it up?" You got her phone number right? Use it.
