Ok so im new, and i know the general theory on picking up girls nd im the kind of person to just try things hands on nd learn from experience. So heres what happened..

I seen a decent 6 in a clothes shop in my local shopping outlet, i couldnt find anyone else and i really wanted to practice. So i went up to her and said im trying to change my look, can i get you to pick out some clothes that you think are attractive. So she did.. she recommended this shirt ( which wasnt my taste ) so i negged and said "ugh u really think thats nice ? I hope you dont dress Your boyfriend in tops like that !" .. She laughed and said she didnt have a boyfriend and she seriously thought it was nice. I then got her to smell both my wrists which i put two different aftershaves on, then told her to choose the best one as i wanted a girls opinion, so she did. She then went on to recommend some jeans which were actually quite nice, so i complimented and said .. "at least u have good taste in jeans haha" anyways i tried them on and she complimented on how good they looked, then she asked where i worked etc etc. However at this point i wanted to keep goin and try to number close but my head was going blank and i ended up walking away empty handed

Anyone know some good number closers ?

Hey fella, pat yourself on the back for getting so close! for a first attempt you should be chuffed with yourself. As for number closes there are loads, but i would of said something like ' youve done pretty well as my personal fashion consultant, how can I get some advice from you next time i want to buy some stuff' - then she will think she came up with the idea of giving you her number for future advice..

Credit where it's due dude, sounds like you had fun and gained some experience! Shops are a fantastic way of meeting women and something I must focus a bit more on...

I find the best way is to make the task of actually getting the number relevant rather than outright asking for it, i.e.

You: So what do you like to do in your spare time other than shopping?
Her: I like X
You: Cool, it's good there. Me and some friends are going this weekend, you should come along/we should meet up.
Her: Yes/No
You: Excellent, well pop your digits in there (and hand her your phone)

Or alternatively you could do it through qualification, i.e.

You: Are you adventurous?
Her: Yes/No
You: Well this weekend, some friends and I are going rock climbing etc (or other activity) you should come along.
Her: Yes/No
You: *Get number

mate. i think thats a sterling effort tbh, and keep doing that, it was obvs working well...



when number closing. make it informal, ask her 'how do we keep in touch?'

perhaps her name (for facebook) its more low-pressure than a number close in that scenario

Yeah, I really like kowalski's repsonse. Simple but leading. You could also link DeanoC's adventurous question with the crazy shirt she picked out. Bridge it with something like

You: 'So obviously if you like that shirt you must be quiet adventurous?
Her: 'haha'
You: 'Then you'll love this... rockclimbing, this weekend, etc'
