Hey man, if I were you I wouldn't take it to heart, just make sure your friends know your intent, my mates know I'm a whore and leave me to it if they see I'm getting along with someone.

If they're all in LTRs then just explain your situation, from my experience almost every situation when there is a mutal respect but some kind of conflict of opinion it can be resolved by explaining your intent and having everyone understand the situation fully.

Miscommunication is the cause of almost all of these kind of situations, don't ditch your friends to be a loner or to hang out with 'puas' that's not what this is about. Explain your situation and if they're worth having as friends they will listen and agree or advise you on what they think.

This is probably the answer. If you have an intention of hitting on chicks it's prob best to go out with like minded people who will more likely assist you in your quest, and push you to progress.

As for your mates, you can go out boozing with them as you would.

Haha, yeah to be fair it's not a practice I'm that used to, and I hadn't exactly started the night out with that intent, it just kind of ended that way. I'm probably just over thinking the whole thing after getting a little peaved after one or two (or nine) pints!

I've not long been out of a LTR myself, so I'm still getting used to being independent, and having moved from my home town to Manchester its been a bit of a shock to the system. It's a learning process I guess!

Having different social circles is quite normal.

Not when one circle is unaware of the other and you've got a diffrent 'personality' in each.

Not that it's wrong, when someone changes their views and values rapidly its natural not to want old friends to notice a huge & instant change.

The problem is when people don't progressively merge into one 'personality' and they end up acting incongruently all the time depending on who they're with.

Personally, I don't keep my social circles a secret from anyone, and I sure don't have different personalities in each scenario.

When I started reading pickup at 18 at first I was very careful to keep my friends from knowing I was reading this stuff, quite frankly I thought it was wierd but interesting.

They know now and I don't view it in the same way. It's not sterotypical behavior and a lot of people may feel this way. I'm pointing it out as a mistake I made.

I say 'personalities' but what I mean is just the way of behaving. I had moved away from home when I got into all this and when I came back 6 months later I had changed considerably. And felt a kind of pressure from peers to snap back into old chode ways around old friends, just to act consistently.
