sunday the 17th

Was really hungover, went out the night before for a friend 30th, drank far too much vodka, thinking about knocking the ale on the head completely for a while now, it tends to kill me off for a few days after now days.

Anyway didnt have anything planned, but my mate L just got in touch with me, he'd recently broken up with his bird(for the last time) and he wants to get back into game and such. My L is an awesome close up magician and even has a DVD out selling one of his tricks, really into to mystery method and when we used to go out doing night stuff, he'd all kinds of crazy shit. However, daygame is a completely different beast and I'm the first to admit i haven't got a clue what am doing, still only taking baby steps at.

spend most of the day catching up had a really good laugh, L told me some epic shit he had gotten up too while he was working in ayia napa. literally had each other in bits laughing all day, but consequently only made one real attempt at a conversation some random chebs, while i was in the Tate having a nose around, didnt go anywhere!

Decide i really need to figure out what to do, I'm confident enough now to chat to pretty much any girl, but i dont have a very good idea of how/where to direct the interaction. I've signed up to the daygame.com free mailing list where they send you a few free videos.

the first video how to approach, was really helpful on how to approach a moving target, usually i wouldn't dream of stopping someone on the move, but it makes real sense almost like a pattern interrupt, also really like just how forward they are.

also start on a compliment as well, show intent from the get go.

second video trick to never run out of stuff to say and the 5 magnets of daygame.

The 5 magnets are

-High value (project yourself confidently)

-non-apologetic (dont feel like you are, inconveniencing girls when you are speaking to them, treat it like you have found there purse and your returning it, doing them a favour)

-Relax (open your body language up, take your time, again showing value)

- self amusement (not comedy, this is something I get wrong a lot, self amusement is high value and fun, comedy is seeking validation and form of supplication)

-STFU (shut the fuck up, give them room to fill the conversation, get them chatting about themselves, which is everybody's favourite topic)

The conversation thing i kinda knew already from reading jugglers PDF, basically it talks about not falling into the trap of asking a series of interview questions. Instead it give you a pretty simple model to follow, which is start on a statement then about the previous thing the girl has said. Then end the statement with a question about it.

example. statement is in red and the question is in blue

Her: I'm from sweden

YOU: Oh cool, i have no idea what sweden is like, I imagine it's like paradise where all the girls are blonde and are force to wear bikinis with the flag on them allday,is that why you left to come here to escape the tyranny?

But better than this is starting the conversation by making a assumption based on observation of the girl infront of you. i.e. she is tall and blonde therefore must be swedish, or you look very creative, I imagine your art is very visceral, full of passion and bodily fluids.

This can go one of two ways, both of which lead into the simple model of conversation above. They either agree and ask how you know or tell you some about the assumption you have just made OR they disagree and ask you why you thought that, which you follow up with another statement/question and you are in the loop POW!!!

This week i have a D2 on wednesday with a slag off POF, on thursday night we all have improv again, which was awesomeO last week (EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED IN IT FACT), another night out on saturday (sober sargin') and on Sunday i fully intend to apply the shit i have just saw in the daygame.com videos
